[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Maybe some therapeutic Parks and Rec will chill me out.

One of the writers on Parks and Rec as on my Tom Waits tour!

Also, I came back from the tour to my dicey motel, flipped on HBO, watched an episode of Silcon Valley (a show I've never seen before) and his name scrolled up as the writer of that episode.

This guy: [link]

eta: My God, he wrote the Mr. Sparkle episode of The Simpsons!

Also on my tour: Michelle Shocked, Ray Bradbury's daughter.

move out and draw fire

Hi everyone!

Wait, Michelle Shocked is Ray Bradbury's daughter, or those are two different people?

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Very cool, Hec.

I just came back from an errand to find ltc fast asleep on the step mother-in-law. So I'm hiding in my room for a while. It's gorgeous out today. I want to just get in the car and drive with a frozen coffee drink, but I still haven't had much luck getting ltc to take a sippy cup. So, I need to be here to feed her when she wakes up.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Is there a polite way to signal to someone that it is time for them to leave?

brillig

Miss Manners suggests standing up and saying "It's been lovely to visit with you, I so look forward to your next visit" or something like that. Can you use the baby and some activity/maintenance as an excuse?

Apparently taking my baby back worked. I don't really mind them coming every week, but I enjoy our hour of snuggle time before TCG gets home, and I want my baby back.
