Sorry about the germ passing, sj. I hope for quick recovery for both of you.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

She seems much better today. She fought us going to sleep last night again, which never happens, but I think the congestion is worse when she lays down.
I just scored a free pack and play from moving neighbors.
Ugh sj, I am suddenly remembering nights when I went without much sleep so I could rock a sleeping congested baby in my arms so they could sleep
But as someone at work recently reminded me, I did not sleep train my babies
ltc has been a fantastic sleeper since birth. So, we are spoiled parents who aren't used to a baby that doesn't want to sleep.
Poor ltc & sj. I hope you both feel better ASAP.
M & I are both currently recovering from from colds that I hope we didn't pass on to Peanut, who's undergoing Yet Another sleep transition. She wants to nap, she likes to nap, but there are so many shiny grabbable things! Napping means she can't grab All The Things! What's a baby to do? (Answer, be adorable and sleep-deprived.)
Juliana, ltc has occasionally fallen asleep sitting up in her crib because she'll play with her binky or one of her small rubber animals until she passes out. It's the funniest thing. I hope Peanut figures out how to nap better soon.
I am having the shittiest day. TCG broke a tooth on a week that he really doesn't have time to deal with it. ltc is so congested that she hasn't been able to breast feed since first thing this morning. We tried formula for the first time in a bottle, a regular cup, and a straw cup and couldn't get her drink from any of them. We finally have her some formula through a syringe and I have a call into the doctor.
I had dinner with my dad and nephew.
I chose poorly and had tempura. It was a lot and it was way to heavy and now I'm wishing I had something to cut through that.
But I did try a piece of California Roll though and it wasn't...hidous. I don't think I'd eat a whole roll but I'll leave the sushi to my nephew.
The almost 8 year old was the only one eating sushi.
I spent most of today in the ER dealing with a nosebleed that would not stop. It was a busy day there, so I was waiting for nearly three hours, soaking a towel with blood. There were several ambulances that came in with people, so I understand that delay, but I can't help thinking they were going "A nosebleed? Not high on the priority list." But I'm pretty sure this is the same thing I had 30 years ago, where I had a bad reaction to some mold or pollen that's built up in the house because I haven't been able to air the place out because spring decides to snow on us every few days.
Now I have a balloon in my sinus till Tuesday, and the windows open and fans going to move air around. It's going to rain tomorrow, but fuck that.
30 years ago, Hubby literally carried me into a doctor's office to get this taken care of. Today I coped on my own, other than housemate driving me to the ER and back. And I coped damned well.
ltc finally took a long nap this afternoon thanks to a very patient TCG, and when she woke up she finally ate. Meanwhile, I bought the sippy cup the nurse suggested. She isn't showing any signs of dehydration. So, I'm trying not to worry.
