x-posty - I'll keep sending the job~ma toward TCG.
College was in several states and 4 universities mostly as an evening part-time student. There wasn't really any long term friendships made, although I did graduate with DH so that was enough.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Triple!
I dunno if I ever told this story here
I had not heard that before. Too adorable!
DH and I bonded over Joss Whedon, escrima and Bruce Campbell movies in our initial pre-F2F meet on-line.
Thanks guys, now I'm afraid of my bathroom mirror!
Well, at least it loves you, right?
I am currently bonding via FB chat with a guy over Let the Right One In. He wants this to become a sex chat, I'm sure. Not sure how my celibate ass feels about that.
And now we're talking about what weirds us out about sex. I suppose at some point i should mention that I'm not actually having it anymore. How do these things work? I've never sex-chatted anyone.
Hell, I thought we were innocently flirting, but apparently he just likes to sext people.
Anthony Weiner?
We should do something about that." And he says, "Oh, yeah, right! What's your number?"
I need a clue-stick wielding woman like that.
sj, much job~ma for TCG.
I need people to talk me down from buying clothes that are not really in the budget to wear to the award luncheon thingy, that I would not likely have another occasion to wear unless I got fed up at this job and started going on interviews for fields that expect much more business-like attire. I have never met the CEO of this outfit before, so I have no idea where she falls on the jeans-suit spectrum. Day in and day out I wear jeans and a t-shirt to work, and things much fancier than that are few and far between. Tell me no one expects me to be there in suit or office-dress.
I have thought that the jersey split skirt, matching sleeveless top, and (handmade) splash-of-coordinating color bolero that I wore to a recent wedding in Daniel's family would be reasonably appropriate. Then I have to figure out things to put on my feet.
ETA: The thing about shoes is that none of the shoes I have that I consider truly appropriate for the occasion fit me anymore. And they would be painfully unsupportive even if they did. So I am down to some pretty-ish sandals (for instance the men's thong-style sandals that I glued mother-of-pearl ornaments to for the Madison F2F) or some canvas loafers.
I hate this.
Aw, Andi. It's you they're celebrating, not your outfit. It's time for sandals to go on sale, maybe you could find something inexpensive but sparkly? I'm sorry you are stressing about this.
Continued ~ma to TCG! And continued humanity~ma to your in-laws, sj.
Dude, autocorrect is coming up with some weird shit tonight. Hope I'm catching it all.
Happy road-tripping, Suzi!
Liese, I love that story.
Pix, what a bummer you missed that meal! I hope you have fun at your reunion.
I didn't have sex with anyone in college until the summer before my senior year (hello first girlfriend who was someone else's at the time) but there was a fair amount of making out.
I'm in Raleigh at my sister's apartment, awake at 4:20 am. I just ate some cookie dough, because she bought it for me; I couldn't eat it earlier because migraine. I hope I sleep in the car tomorrow, feh.
mearing with a bit of skimming. Sorry if I missed any ~ma needed announcement:
mostly I am glad to hear that the worst of the anxiety has passed.
Me too. Take care, Steph. And the buffistas advice are good.
(3) adequate self-care.
Ooh. I need to make a similar list too. And make sure I will do the stuff I write in it.
In this part of the world, giving a teenager a rifle is fairly common
Can you please explain to a non-American the difference between giving a teenager a rifle or a gun? I'm having trouble to wrap my mind around it. Maybe because I live in another certain part of the world that hands to most of its 18 years old assault rifles, and that with time I became a supporter of for pro-civil society organizations (such as New Profile [link] and Gun Free Kitchen Tables [link]
Andi, that letter is fantastic.
Glad to hear the interview went well, Maria.
Suzi, good to read your vacation updates!
WHERE THE FUCK DID THE WORDS COME FROM????!!!!
If someone in the recent past week or so wrote them, they might reappear in certain climate conditions. It happened to me before.
Interview ~ma to TCG.
Oh, and my braces were removed yesterday. Wore it for almost 5 years. It feels a bit weird now, as if something's missing.
