I am finding this particularly apt, given his news from school today. When I got home from work, he informed me that his class would be leading chapel this Friday (he attends a Christian school). They'll be doing the Resurrection, or an excerpt thereof at least. And Ryan has been chosen to play Jesus Christ.
We practised his lines after dinner. Regrettably, I don't think he's going to take my suggestion of walking to the front of the stage and exclaiming "I AM YOUR GOD! BOW DOWN BEFORE ME!" (I have a Plan B. It's for him to take the stage to Chumbawumba's Tubthumping. "I GET KNOCKED DOWN! BUT I GET UP AGAIN!")
Ryan seems happy enough with the existing script. My son. ...And I just realised, if he's going to play the son of God, then... hmm. It appears his dad might be in need of a pep talk, because sad to say, I just don't believe in myself.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.
It's not for me, it's a friend of mine. She's got a pinched nerve that's making her miserable, and the prescription is rest, physio, and Advil. When I told her not to be afraid to push for stronger pain meds, she said the doctor told her that they react badly with ADs. I'm pretty sure she's on at least Wellbutrin.
In a little googling, I found one study that showed evidence that pain meds *including* OTC meds could lower the effectiveness of ADs. But it's not like being in constant pain and unable to sleep is going to improve her mood either.
