I forgot to chime in, but I've been playing Neko Atsume for a couple weeks now. I had extra Google Play credits, so I spent money for yard expansions and fancy things, since I like the zen garden look a lot. I keep missing Joe DeMeowgio & Conductor Whiskers, though. Sadface.
I hope sleep happened for people. Peanut has starting waking up & demanding food at 11 when she used to sleep through the night. I know she can self-soothe herself back to sleep since she did at 1 am this morning, so I don't know where this new food demand is coming from.
juliana, could it be teething? Peanut is about a month younger than ltc, right? ltc started waking up around midnight around a month ago. Sometimes she soothes herself back to sleep and sometimes she just gets increasingly more upset until she can eat. Usually only for a couple minutes and then she falls back to sleep.
Growth spurts happen too and can cause hunger.
Peanut's 4.5 months, so teething & growth spurts are definite possibilities, though the pediatrician said it's early for both. I just feel bad for M tonight, since I'm working, so the magical calming properties of the nursing are not available.
ltc was definitely teething at 4.5 months. She had two teeth by 6 months, but she was teething for a couple months before that.
I'm sorry for M. I've never managed to pump and ltc hasn't had formula yet. So, I don't know how ltc would soothe with a bottle, but all of TCG's attempts to get her to go back to sleep without eating have been utter failures.
Apparently Peanut will eventually take the bottle, but it's a struggle (she won't for me, because she knows damn well that the good stuff is Right There). She definitely doesn't soothe down easy with the bottle, though. (I have been lucky enough to be able to pump, so she's still getting breast milk from the bottle. It's all about the delivery format, for her.)
DH was super jealous of the power of the delivery format. When he would attempt to sooth the boys it just wasn't the same. The early days is really when Mom is everything. When they are just a little bit older then it is all about Dad because Dad does the tossing them in the air and play play play stuff. They switch back and forth as to who they want through the years. Alas, mine are back to me again because Dad gives them crap while Mom is a softee.
Yeah, in the middle of the night, it's not about the milk at all, she just wants to teeth on mommy for a couple of minutes and then go back to sleep.
I suppose nom nom nom doesn't qualify as a first word, but I started to say it to ltc when we started on solid food. And now she says nom nom nom whenever she's hungry. It's adorable.
