We have a niece that needs to be in town for one week every month. We've tried to schedule one-week trips to match her schedule, and she pet sits. It works because she can sleep over, the cats know her, and she can handle the meds.
We had an arrangement with one of the techs at our vet for longer trips, but she went to vet school and doesn't live in the area any more.
Hmmm -- bonny, is Centreville in your area of service?
Ugh. I've been trying to get this painkiller prescription filled for nearly a week. I just called my doctor's office again, and it's still "in processing." So, in other words, they've given my doctor the message that says I need it, but she hasn't printed it out and signed it yet. They said they'd give her another message. It's been a few days without meds now, and I'm hurting.

Is this our mutual doctor's office? Because they can be SO AWFUL about refills. And other times they refill right away. I don't even know.
Get on the stick, doctor of Hil! Unacceptable!
However, I could have everyone resubmit things to medcaid since I was, evidently enrolled.
Might as well take advantage of it!
And it's Friday already. The day I scramble to get everything done that didn't get done the rest of the week.

Yep. Every other time I've called for a refill, it's taken a day or maybe two if I called in the late afternoon. I called Tuesday morning.
I don't even know how to start , I don't have a card with a number or anything but I may calling again and ask for more details on Monday.
If I could get some of the money back it would be great, the most expensive stuff was actaully covered through a hospital grant. So it's mostly co pays but they add up.

Fred, I wish we were! I'd love to have you as a client.
We thrive on being a close-knit, geographically intensive service. Our main office covers Capitol Hill and our franchises are in HIll East, NoMa and Brookland. We are working on expanding to Southwest and then possibly in Penn Quarter.
So far, all our franchisees are former Cap Hill walkers and they fit perfectly into our business model. I would not feel good about expanding our reach much further since quality of care is our highest priority. (short answer: the owner has focus issues and I enjoy benevolent control)
~ma and hugs to all who need it. My brain is not currently retaining information. My two day long headache has finally broken, but ltc is teething and driving me batty.
bonny, fair enough. I work in SW, but I doubt the agency would approve of 6 cats moving into my office for any period of time.
Feel better, sj.
Because those cats aren't going to stack themselves [link] .
