[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Snow and freezing rain expected tomorrow. It was worth it to brave the grocery lines if it means no having to go outside. I have all the fixin's for home made tacos and enough cheese to last through the Apocalypse.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

We rescheduled our Valentine's dinner for Monday because we don't want to take ltc out in tomorrow's weather.

Because we both ate well this afternoon, me at vw's baby shower and TCG sandwiches with vw's DH, we are having chips and guacamole for dinner tonight. That counts, right?

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

We're not expecting our sleet and freezing rain until Monday. But I shopped today anyway to avoid the rush. I'm thinking of making a lemon pound cake tomorrow. It seems like it would be a sunny snack for a winter weather day.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

A friend who had invited me out last night invited me out again. I bailed last night, so I felt guilty and went out to meet up. We had a great time having dinner and drinks and watching the slam dunk contest on ESPN (surprisingly entertaining), and then I walked home. When the wind blew, I thought I might die. I got home and checked my phone and it was ONE DEGREE. This very well may be the coldest weather I've ever been out in.

Thrive to spite them

Last night was cold, made colder by the fact Mom prefers the house to be frigid at night (she says the heater makes the air to dry at night, I pointed out we have a humidifier.).

I should have gotten the space heater and plugged it in but I kept getting up to put on layers because my shins were cold...my pj pants and leggings kept riding up. There's a pair of leg warmers I finally unearthed and put on.

Our wings are not tired.

I have no choice but to mention my open sliding doors and windows. Typical weather this week with highs in the mid 70s and lows in the mid 60s. LOVE this time of year.

Apparently we set a new record low today. It's 6 at the moment.

We gave ltc her first taste of solid food today. We started with rice cereal. After everyone warned us not to freak out if she didn't like it, she absolutely loved it! She ate her first bites down like an expert and then enjoyed playing with the spoon.

Oh fun, sj! Good to hear it went well. Brace yourself for the more interesting diapers.

I've done enough babysitting in my life that I'm ready, but TCG has no idea what's to come.

What do you mean "no choice"? Did the evil just burst out? No, I'm not bitter about your weather.
