We killed a homeless man on this bench. Me and Dru. Those were good times. You know, he begged for mercy, and you know, that only made her bite harder.

Spike ,'Sleeper'

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh, no, Zen. Sounds like not answering is the best solution. Does your ringer turn itself back on?

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I just vacuumed the kitchen to avoid dealing with an article back from the author, because they requested all kinds of complicated changes that aren't our style AND they gave me 2 more figures that weren't even cited in the first version of the article. Not cool, author. Not cool.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

The ringer turns itself off from 9pm to 6am. I'm thinking of extending its quiet hours.

I'm avoiding work like the devil today. The software is crashing, my vendors are screwing up, and I want to go back to bed.

Excel is not cooperating with me (in that it won't do anything at all, apparently) and it's very frustrating. Most of what I do is fiddling with Excel.

Always Anti-fascist!

Have they changed bakers for thin mints, or do I just remember them as more awesome? had no trouble eating two and stepping aside, in fact, "meh".

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Ugh, does the clinic have any kind of waiting list, or method of referral to higher level or something.

It's at a children's hospital, but up until now, they've accepted adult patients. But they've been getting more patients lately, and one of the doctors left, and they can't handle everybody, so they said that they'll keep seeing adult patients that they were already seeing, but only kids for new patients. That's as of last week. I've been meaning to make an appointment with them for months, but needed to get my records from my old doctor first, and just hadn't gotten organized enough to do it.

Hil, can they refer you to someone else?

I'm not sure. I'm a member of a Facebook group for Cincinnati people with EDS and related conditions, and someone there has been posting information.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

So, ten years ago (plus one day), I was posting this to the boards:

"I have a date tomorrow. Not sure that I expect too much from it, but it should be a pleasant lunch."

Today is the tenth anniversary of my first date with Biyi. A pleasant lunch indeed.
