But whatever, because we got to see Fay!

'Lies My Parents Told Me'
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
But whatever, because we got to see Fay!

Oo, a Fay viewing! I'm jealous.
Welcome back, Jilli. And thanks.
I kinda wanna knock K-Bug upside the head. He is just so oily.
I'm trying to finish my work so I can get ready for VACATION. We hit the road in about 40 hours!!! First stop is Vegas! Woot-woot!
Sounds like a wonderful trip, Jilli!
Maria, lots of good vibes about your potential new job!
But whatever, because we got to see Fay!
I saw the pictures on tumblr. Super jealous.
How is the lovely Fay?
X-posted from Natter, because I initially asked for thank you note advice (email or handwritten) there:
Sent 11 emails out individually. Already received responses from three: Chief HR Officer, Vice President, and President of the company. VP said "[I] believe there are opportunities that you can bring your passion and expertise for our mutual benefit. I’m sure you will be hearing from T shortly with a possible next step." CHRO said they'll be in touch early next week.
I think this is a good sign? Oh please, please let it be a good sign.
Woot! And I just heard back from my former coworker who recruited me (who is their VP of Sales and Marketing and would be my boss). I did good. He's gotten positive feedback so far, and he'll get back to me early next week.
OMG, I might be able to breathe.
Thank you all for the advice and support!
You know, I'm way more excited about this potential job--with its increased responsibilities and expectations--as I ever was about the job I'm currently in. That says something.
I am trying soooo hard not to be bounce, bounce, bouncy in the office right now. Ridic. I have no clue how I'm going to make it through this weekend, because I want to know now, damnit.
How is the lovely Fay?
As darling as ever, and having fun visiting her mum during the summer holidays. I again tried to convince her that she should look for a teaching position in Seattle.
The David Bowie exhibit at the V&A was a religious experience for me. There is no hyperbole in that statement. I nearly burst into tears when I saw the original handwritten lyrics to Rock n' Roll Suicide (possibly my favorite Bowie song ever), and when I saw the cane and crystal ball props from Labyrinth, displayed with a letter from Jim Henson to Bowie.
Those all sound like good signs, Maria!! I'm happy for you.
Hellooooooooo Jilliiiiiiiiiii.
P-C! Did you bring me back Gerard Way from SDCC?
