Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

brillig

There's a light fresh floral scent wafting through my house.

Doesn't that mean the Buddha or some other divine being has manifested somewhere in the house? Go get some offerings and look around.

Thrive to spite them

I woke up to discover 2 out of 3 outlets in the bedroom aren't working. Mom has to contact the landlady to contact an electrician. We tried flipping the breakers and all the easy stuff. So my room needs to look...almost spotless and depending on how long this will take I'll need to rearrange and hope nothing happens to the other outlet.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Unless the Buddha is hiding in the shoe closet, my house is divine -being free.

I think it was a particularly fragrant bar of gift soap.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Thundersnow is very dramatic, but the first time I experienced it I made the tactical error of trying to drive in it. Even in town I couldn't see the edges of the road, and eventually misjudged where a curb was not. Fortunately I got the car stopped before it ended up in the river.

Oh wow, Andi. You just articulated one of my greatest fears. Yikes.

I think I might need a reality check.

Seriously, I am all buzzuh?!?

I had to fire an employee over the weekend for smoking a client's pot. On more than one occasion. Security footage. Red piped, so to speak.

Today, the former employee tells the owner that, frankly, he is disappointed in us because he 'gave his heart and soul to this company and it was just one hit. Why make such a big deal out of it."

Not that the theft and drug use on duty isn't enough, but a year ago, the client had another service. One of their walkers was drunk while walking his dog and the dog was killed.

They came to us because we are so well trusted.

What is going ON with people that it seems okay to take someone else's property and then be pissy because you got caught?

And I glad you are okay.

Bonny I don't know. When I worked at the airport one if the temps my department hired was caught stealing....cell phones, 2allets, etc. There was a sting operation, he was caught, arr3sted, led out in habdcuffs. A week later he's back begging us to hire him directly and saying he was innocent anD blah blah. He got another escort out.

The guy totally confessed. Yeah, I did that.

Then insisted that he should be able to continue working with us.

Weirdly, the idea of someone stealing in an airport doesn't really surprise me. It seems we've all just accepted that such things 'just happen.'

I can't even.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I'm hurting, a lot, and I just found out that the connective tissue disorder clinic here in Cincinnati isn't taking new adult patients anymore. So I've got to find some other doctor. I've got some recommendations that I'll check out. But, ugh. The past few weeks have just sucked, pain-wise.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Oh, that's miserable, Hil, I'm sorry.

My homework is no longer eating my lunch but now my work work is.

bonny, sometimes all you can do is let the mind boggle.

Hil, I hope you can find a doctor you can work with soon. You deserve relief.
