I can handle the Oz Full Monty. I mean, not 'handle' handle.

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I've seen the pics, sj. That is one deprived, miserable-looking child you've got there. (IOW, back off MIL).

Huh. I could have sworn I responded to this earlier, but I don't see a response. I hope it didn't randomly end up in another thread. I joked with her, "have you seen her thighs?", but she wasn't joking and kept repeating it. I was seriously pissed off.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I thought that no solid food until six months old was the standard recommendation.

There are some who still say between 4-6 months, but 6 months is quickly becoming the new standard.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I think it's kind of the MiL's job to be annoying, something about ceding the role of mother figure to the DiL makes them cranky

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

According to my Fitbit, I've lost 17 pounds in 16 months. Granted I wasn't really trying, but I'd like for it to go faster than that.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

sj, I'm sorry your MiL is being a pain in the tuckus.

Thrive to spite them

Who has an upper respiratory infection and a UTI? This girl. Also got nebulizer treatment at the doctor and a antibiotic shot to jump start things and a fist full of prescriptions. Then it's off to Walgreeens, grocery, post office, and park at the end of the road and hike up hill because of snow and slush. Mom's driving. Then we'll be iced in for a day or two.

Argh. Today was supposed to be a relatively low-impact day, at least as far as my ankles and knees are concerned. Because they were already hurting like hell and swollen and unstable and generally not good. All I had to do today was office hours, and writing some quizzes and worksheets and prepping for classes tomorrow, and making copies.

So. I was going to make a lunch and bring it with me, but I forgot. So, I figure, I'll go to the convenience store in the building next to my office building and get something there. I walk (with my walker) down the very long hallway from my office to the elevator, get down to the lobby, get almost to the door of the lobby, and realize that I left my wallet in my office. So, back across the lobby, back up the elevator, back down the very long hall to my office -- and I realize that I got off the elevator on the wrong floor. So, back down that hallway again, up the elevator again, down the hallway on the right floor this time, get my wallet, back down the hallway to the elevator, etc. I finally ended up back at my desk with something to eat half an hour after I'd started. At least I remembered to buy some razors at the store while I was there, for a ridiculous price, but I need some and it's better than having to stop somewhere else on the way home.

And then the copying machine on my floor was broken, so I had to do the same stupid walk from my office to the elevator a couple more times to make copies using the machine on another floor.

And my knee keeps trying to bend sideways. It shouldn't do that.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Ooh, Epic, thank you! I just snagged a few. Even at those steep discounts, they're still more than I like to pay for underwear, but so necessary. Still, if they work they'll last for years.
