But? There's always a but. When this is over, can we have a big 'but' moratorium?

Uggghhh, just got home from PT, which is supposed to be helping my cervicogenic headaches and my head feels worse. This is week three and the first time I've come home worse than when I went.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Wet cement and crutches do not mix. I can't find a pretty velvet Christmas dress for ltc anywhere. And bow ties are difficult to find. Especially in funky patterns. I think I found a couple acceptable ones at Nordstrom's Rack. I'm so done with today.

Thrive to spite them

I went xmas shopping which madE me frustrated I don't know what to get for my brother or his gf. Also I found cool stuff I like but I wasn't shopping for me.

After thinking about it when the paperwork comes I'll read it and then appeal. Mostly just to appeal I don't think I'd win an appeal but I'm hoping fighting will make me feel better.

Talked to both parents Dad was like insurance always denies stuff...appeal unless it feels like too much. Mom was more like it's money you need to appeal.

Im going to go through my brother's Facebook page and see if any charity is mentioned and maybe make a donation in his name. Not sure for his gf but I have an idea.

Our wings are not tired.

I just sent a pissy email to a couple of my "helpers" telling them I was taking a break. Seriously, I have been at the computer since 6 something, just like every other of the 365 days a year. It is after 11 and I am still in my jammies and unshowered and the emails just keep coming. 90% have absolutely nothing to do with my software, but I still have to address them and tell them to talk to their damn network person, or internet person, or hardware person or whatever. They write to me because I actually answer and am nice. I am so close to quitting and taking every computer in the house and tossing it to the curb even if I pull out my stitches. My Christmas tree is still naked and neither gifts nor food have been considered yet and it is the 21st. I am so over not having a life and working 24/7.

So taking a break and showering and eating and coffeeing. And turning off my email and phone.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

So many people are surprised - and relieved - when they get an actual response from a person. We've had people call my office and exclaim about having the phone answered by a real live person (zombies aren't much for receptionist duties).

Our wings are not tired.

They apparently got the message. My receptionist sent me an email that he would direct all the calls to my helper. He never actually sends me calls because he knows I hate the phone, but he has sent at least a dozen stupid support emails to me this morning. We'll see how long he holds off. My minion also told me to go away and take a break. A large percentage of my doctors are on vacation this week anyway. It should not be so busy. Grrr. Yes, taking a coffee break now. A long one.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Laura, a large percentage of my authors are off this week, too, so I have no idea why we're even trying to get them to return their articles this week. I'm just shrugging and figuring that next Monday will be busy.
