My aunt called me this morning apparently to let me know that I should be getting stuff done when ltc sleeps. I don't think I'll tell her that what I got done this morning was to catch up on Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and what I got done this afternoon was a shower.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Seriously, she called to give you unsolicited advice about how to live your life?
People be crazy.
Those things totally count as getting things done.
Also, "sleep when the baby sleeps" is age-old (and excellent) advice.
Can I call your aunt real early in the morning to tell her to leave you alone? And that since I'm up at 5am she should be too?
I could not handle being a mom on top of the other help and "help" I get.

This is what she does. This is the same woman who told TCG he had to go home and get some sleep while ltc and I were in the hospital after he was born, and when he politely told her he didn't have any interest in doing that she reiterated that he "HAD to".

I like to think so. Though I wasn't successful in getting the shower in before ltc woke up. She ended up waking up her sick, napping daddy while I was in the shower.

Oh, she's up, and she is one of the few people that doesn't understand the rule not to call me before 10 AM unless it's really important. Not because I'm not awake, just because I really don't want to and am not good at talking to anyone before 10 AM.

Yeah. There is a reason why this kind of "help" annoys me so much.

Shenanigans like this always makes me think of the Shel Silverstein poem that ends "Some kind of help is the kind of help that helping's all about/And some kind of help is the kind of help we can all do without."

Yes. I'm currently baking a chicken pot pie that vw made and brought up frozen for us. That's the kind of help I can get behind and that is actually helpful after having a baby.
I just realized that my flight to NJ is tomorrow, not Wednesday like I'd thought. Eek. Trying not to panic now. I have a list! Lists are good!
