Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Oh it should be silver.

I'm stuck on my phone most of the time and don't always catch the typos.

I love my nephew but I was not prepared for the energy of a 7 yr old 3sp one who gets up at 5:30 am.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Few are ready for that, askye, it's not just you. I'm a parent and I'm grateful every day that my son is growing out of his 5:30 am wake up time.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

A bit of family news: Biyi's parents are back with us now for six months or so, now with added permanent residency. PR comes with free English lessons, so Biyi is looking to enrol them at the local migrant centre. If they pick up some more English and find it easier to navigate this city, that's all to the good, but I think Biyi is especially hoping that they might make some friends in the class.

In the other direction, Ryan was awarded a gold medal at his Chinese class yesterday. Only two kids in his class got one. He has worked hard on it all year, and is pretty thrilled.

Aww, yay Ryan! And nice that his grandparents can be close.

Silver car makes way more sense.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Yay, Ryan! And Ryan's grandparents!

Askye, kids are a big adjustment to be around full time.

Speaking of which, we're in the car headed home from Mom's. I haven't changed a diaper since last Wednesday. Back to the solo parenting from 7-6 tomorrow.

Our wings are not tired.

Well done, Ryan!

Extra hands are such a wonderful thing. Good to hear that Ryan is going to have more grandparent time, and yay for the time off, sj!

Welcome Monday. Ugh. More certification testing again. Going to age me.

Thank you all! Ryan decided that he should bring his medal to school for show and tell. Alas; before they got to it, his medal went missing. He's devastated. (It's quite the emotional roller coaster when you're six.) We're hoping it'll turn up, but I don't know.

Yay Ryan for the medal and ugh that it's missing. I hope it can be found.

My short term disability claim is still in limbo because of fax issues again with my former meds manager. I left a message for the analyst and if he calls back I'll give the fax if not I'll call hartford.

Today I am being lazy. I am going to take a shower find some clean clothes...I need to do laundry...and then get a library card, go to Best Buy and open a bank acciunt. But mostly drive my new car.
