Topamax is also causing me the word loss, and the dry cough. And dry eyes. I still can't decide if it's worth it.

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Also in my case it's not med related. It's my brain. My beautiful, but probably fatally flawed brain. I hope you all are nice to me when I'm unable to talk and all I do is smile sweetly at people and try to grab at the food.

OMG, me too.
and try to grab at the food.
We'll totally let you steal all the best nachos.

HOLD UP! I did NOT agree to this!
I have the thing with losing the word I need and I don't think it's medication causing it. Who knows?!
It's really annoying when I'm playing Jeopardy and I forget a name or word I've always known. Like Jane Austen, or penultimate.
I still have the word out of reach issue, but rarely compared to a couple years ago. After I had the seizure and they had me on the awful meds, it was bad. Both with and without meds. For a couple years I have really made an effort to do the right things for my fragile brain and at this point I can see that it helped.
Of course one of the biggees for me is getting my proper sleep, and oops, way past my bedtime. Best get on that.
That's both charming and worrisome.
Considering it's been going on for ten years, and doesn't seem to be getting any worse, I'm not too worried.

Looks like you'll be sitting at the quiet table with me and Nora, so, um, at least there will be nachos?
Okay, and as Laura reminds me, I should probably get to bed soon and let those neurons repair themselves.
Glad to hear I'm not the only one with word memory problems. I've been worried spitless for a while, now, because my most recent shrink took me one of the meds I used to be on because she said it caused dementia in older adults. Now all I can think is - how much older and was the amount of time I was on it significant? I'm a little freaked at this point.
