I would be there right now.

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Our wings are not tired

I just got home from work and am trying to tie a few things up before I can head to bed, and tomorrow is one of my teaching days, so it's going to be another long one.

Almost there, I start to get my life back after tomorrow.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

On a plane headed back from the weirdest business trip ever. Personal dynamics, people behaving badly, people ratting people out. All in a work sense, not drinking stuff. Very unsettling and I'm not sure what the fallout will be.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I'm working from home today, so I don't have to worry about flooded roadways or falling trees (other than the ones around my apartment).

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Thrive to spite them

So I heard back about the x ray my left knee is unremarkable. No fluid, fractures, etc. But it still hurts so rest, etc and physical therapy.

I only talked to a nurse (my doctor doens't work Fridays) and she kinda said something that made me feel like it shouldn't be hurting but that's probably my anxiety about medical stuff not being believed making wild conjecture than anything else.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Word on the Weather Channel Web site is that Joaquin will stay out at sea. So high tides on the coast, and outer bands may affect New England and the Canadian Atlantic provinces.

hip deep in pie

That's good. Those flighty hurricanes can be unpredictable, though.

I have had a serious case of the I don't wannas since coming back from vacation. And today, none of my work friends are here to listening to my whining, which is making me extra whiny.

To sum up, I have the ennui.

If my years of working have taught me one thing, it's almost never the work and always the people.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I bought a t-shirt for Tim that is in a garish color worthy of Jensen from The Losers: [link] (I didn't buy it for the color; it just comes in that color. I bought it because of the whole mermaid thing. I have posted pictures of him as a mermaid, haven't I?)

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Steph, I love that shirt! And if you did post that pic, I must have missed it. ::bats eyes::
