We had a lovely dinner with Nicole and her DH.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Grr argh, Ginger. You need Spike to be your oatient advocate/personal assistant.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I now have an appointment Friday at the hospital, which, unlike Kaiser, requires someone to drive me. It's ridiculous, since it's a simple procedure that uses local anesthesia. It's like requiring a driver for dental work. My neighbor who is so good about driving me can't do it because she has company. Now I have to ask other people. I hate asking for help, and my best friend here lives another 20 miles in the other direction.

I'm sorry, Ginger. I wish you had one of us nearby.

Ginger - asking for help allows those friends of yours, who may want to help but don't know what to do, a solid thing that ends up helping you both.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Ow. Having a pretty bad pain day, and I ran out of painkillers, and I'm not seeing the doctor until Thursday. I took Advil, which is doing pretty much nothing. And I just realized that I need to get to campus a little early tomorrow, because I was stupid and didn't make enough copies of the worksheet that I'm having my students do tomorrow.

Our wings are not tired.

Ginger, I am sorry you have to wait until Friday now for some relief. Also, what sj and SuziQ said.

Hil, might it be possible for your doctor to call in a couple days worth of painkillers since you have an appointment?

I'm so sorry, Hil. I hope you find some relief.

I'm having some minor pain issues this morning because it's raining pretty hard.

Thrive to spite them

I was at work doing okay until I turned and my foot didn't. They could hear me at the front of the store. It's not horrible pain but I called and got an appointment today instead of next week.

I'm getting nervous anxious thoughts about going to the doctor but I know why I'm feeling this. Instead of in the past when I'd get all kinds of anxiety thoughts and not understand why.
