Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

It'll be delivered too late for Talk Like a Pirate Day, but I'm still tempted...

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

If I were still going to the office, I'd buy that and wear it under a smart suit jacket.

They miss me at the office.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

One thing I unreservedly miss about my old office is that we gleefully celebrated Talk Like a Pirate Day every year. We didn't dress up in a big way, but had a bag full of accessories like pirate bandanas and eyepatches and plastic hand-hooks, etc.

I'm pretty sure I was the original instigator of all that, but everyone jumped in with zeal.

I was thinking of Halloween - because nobody but me really does anything, I generally keep it low key (yet never let it go unacknowledged) on Halloween. But Halloween falls on the weekend this year. I hadn't thought of just wearing it on some random Tuesday. Interesting...

Thrive to spite them

I just discovered that I haven't been getting any short term disability pay because it's been closed. As of June 1st because my meds manager hasn't faxed anything or her assitant has faxed anything. Even though I asked if they had.

So it's my fault for not following up and I see her later for a med check.

BUT I'm only going to get paid at 60% of my pay so I've got to decide if I should just go part time and take my chances with the state. Because I'd be making $6/hour with that based on my old hourly wage and if you take into consideration how much my benefits are I don't think it makes sense.

I also found out that the meds manager's office person is submitting some claims under the name of the meds manager who is in network and some under the group practice name which is NOT in Network.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Ugh askye, sounds like the meds manager isn't doing her job, or at least someone in the office isn't.

Yeah it's frustrating but I found out some informaton and I'm working iwth a transitional case manager so when I see her next week I have to talk to her about getting help seeing a health care navigator to find out about insurance through the state.

Which means is goign to be weird becaue I'm going to (presumably) get a lump sum payment for this benefit stuff that might throw things off. But I just have to figure things out.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

What a pain, askye. I'm sorry you have to deal with all of that.

Mom is here today which means that if ltc gets fussy she can take her for a walk or a drive. So of course ltc is the most pleasant baby ever today.

So I talked to the meds manager and figured out one thing. There is someone new doing the billing which is where that mistake is coming from.

As for the disability insurance stuff - they still aren't sure but are going to fax everything over again.

I have to look at some pay stubs and do some math but I think it's going to make more sense to go part time IF I can get either on medicaid through the state or a cheaper plan through the ACA. which I'm not sure if that will happen but I'll see.

I was going to post about something else but I completely forgot from coming here from whatever webpage I was on.
