'Out Of Gas'

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I hope your shoulder heals quickly, Hil.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Thanks. My original plan for this weekend had been to go to campus today to finish up some prep, and then rest tomorrow (and maybe go out to brunch.) New plan is staying home today, and hoping that a day of resting and no bra will calm my shoulder down a bit. I can do a lot of my prep stuff from here. Then I can go to campus tomorrow to finish up the stuff I couldn't do from home.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Hil, I'm doing pretty much all my prep at home and just running copies at work before I teach. At 8:30 am on Monday, ugh!

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Good luck, Hil and all the teachers headed back to work.

We survived our first family outing that was not a doctor's appointment. We went to the local fair in town and introduced ltc to the library volunteers. It went well other than one run in with a stranger who was equally distraught that we were out with an 11 day old and that TCG had to push the stroller while I walked with my crutches. Then she was surprised when I asked her not to touch my baby.

Our wings are not tired.

Yay for being out and about with ltc. Ignoring the rude strangers. Bobby was out earlier than his brother. He went out to lunch and to the office with me at 7 days. I took longer to go out and about the first time around. Short version, the only opinions that count are you and TCG.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Laura is wise.

I've gotten most of my prep done. Just need to go to campus tomorrow to make copies, and to finish setting up my gradebook, and a couple of other things. I really need to do laundry, but I think I might leave that until tomorrow, and let my shoulder rest some more today -- laundry is in the basement.

Resting up sounds like a good idea, Hil.

Thank so, Laura. I guess I should prepare myself for many ignorant comments about being a parent with a disability as ltc gets older.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I'm pretty sure I took Emmett out at a week old. Little old ladies were forever scolding me for taking him out without a hat and generally being busybodies.

He turned out okay despite my negligence.

Thanks, Hec. She was much happier when we were out an about than she has been since we got home. She likes the car and the stroller.
