I'm sure he'll be a fine little prince, but I'm tired of fuckin' princes. I wanted a Princess, dammit!
Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I'd been hoping for a princess, too! Ah, well.
I'm glad it's not a princess so we don't have listen to people burble "Name her Diana!"
I thought it would be a girl. Not that I need it to be a girl, because I'm not eleven anymore, but... sj, yuck. Sorry if she doesn't have a sense of humor or whatever, but the hurt does fade eventually. And if she is like my father one day, she'll show up unexpectedly and hook up your TV, and then go back to ignoring you again.
Am I a heretic for not really caring about the birth of the Royal Baby Boy? Granted, I also can't understand why everyone fusses over celebrity babies period.
I only care because royal families get to play with Serious Bling and I'm all about the sparklies. Plus the tie in to centuries of history.

It's our royal family and I can't muster up much caring about it. I mean, I wish the family well and I'm generally well-disposed towards babies, but beyond that I'm happy to hold on for more proximate babies.
I am unable to work up any interest. They could get my attention by naming him Aethelred.
I seem to care, but I can't figure out why. I mean, I'm a pretty serious Anglophile, but that's for culture, not royalty. Still, I watched the wedding and was genuinely happy to hear of the new princelet.
It's not that I'm unhappy, and I generally think William and Kate are good people, but the overwhelming craziness for the wedding and the baby are slightly beyond my ken.
