Ah, the pitter patter of tiny feet in huge combat boots. Shut up!

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

We're exhausted and figuring out breastfeeding is proving itself to be difficult.

Breastfeeding doesn't always come easy at first, so don't get discouraged. It took Emmett weeks to get it down! And Matilda wasn't really getting good at it until about the third day or so.

But it varies quite a bit and takes some practice on both ends.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Peanut is getting more and more active, but I think my favorite moment was when she landed a direct kick on the Doppler microphone during our checkup on Friday. "No paparazzi!"

Awww, fun and games with the sonogram. The very last sono I had, Matilda finally, finally, at 35 weeks, after resolutely turning away from the Doppler every time, turned her head and I got a glimpse of her round-cheeked face, button chin and eyes tight shut. It just about *slew* me.

I am so ridiculously happy for you, sj!

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I ended up having to cancel all planned visitors earlier this evening because I was sick to my stomach. Which I guess is normal after a csection. I'm feeling much better after some meds and a long nap.

Honey, this is the prime time to go all Empress and decree at the drop of a hat. Besides, you've got the ultimate dictatress planning your days. Bend everyone else.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I'm honestly not feeling too guilty about it. I caught everyone before they made the trip from RI and I really really needed that nap. We'll see people when we see people.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Welcome Francesca Ruth! And I add to the chorus that there is no talking too much about our newest Buffista sprog!

Can't wait to meet her, but cannot stress enough that it's on your time. When you're ready for visitors, let me know. And if you need someone to come put your house in order for other non-Buffista people, I'm happy to come clean or cook or whatever (odd that I will do that for other people happily, but my house is a pit.)

The status is NOT quo.

sj, I’m so beyond happy for you. I know how much you wanted this and yet how difficult your pregnancy was. But now BABY!
