I'm a fairly tall woman in a family full of short women. I like getting things off high shelves for people, it's a simple thing to do that makes me feel useful.
Also, the best hiding place is the place only I can reach to dust...
Tara ,'Get It Done'
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

As a person surrounded by tall and strong people, I assure you they are delighted to help. Makes them feel all manly and helpful and stuff. It happens to the boys and DH all the time. Usually they are observant enough to offer, but are more than happy to help.
I usually ask women. I'm more comfortable speaking to a stranger if it's a woman.
I just found out that my next door neighbor just had major surgery. Half of me feels like I should do something, and half of me feels that at 8 1/2 months pregnant, maybe I get a pass this time.

I try to find young men well into the "I'm old enough to be your mother, young man" range, because they're more likely to have automatic reactions built in. I wouldn't ask a man closer to my own age for fear of flirtation attempts--unless he's with his wife.

Oh, good lord, yes. Plus, it might make them feel even worse to have you doing something, a la "Oh, god, I must be dying, sj is coming over to check on me in her state."
By do something I meant either bake something or more likely buy something at the bakery and have TCG bring it over. We're going to the bakery tomorrow anyway.
Since I haven't changed from snow tires in...uh awhile...I had my regular tires in the shed. So Will came by, took me to get the bad tire and switched the regular tire on the rim and then got it put back on and I'm on my way.
But it is fucking hot. 97F feels like 100. At least it's not that humid. No wonder I'm dying. Oh and all my bottled water (the tap water is gross) is in the car and has been so it's really hot at this point. Tonight I'll get it out and stick it in the fridge. I think okay for now.
Tomorrow it's supposed to rain and only be high of 84. So I'm staying inside.
It's miserably hot here today too.
vey hot today, which is why I had a migraine. Stayed home from work and sat still. Felt better this afternoon and took a quick trip out to get something for dinner. J is away at a car event, which means it will be just me and my new TV husband, Ross Poldark. So broody and noble, with the dreamiest eyes. [link]
I read all the novels back in high school and saw the previous version. I'm a longtime Poldark fangirl.
It's been raining here tonight, which explains why my sinuses have felt like they were about to explode all day.
