I'm picking up thessaly at 3 instead. I'm tired, but I'm also feeling lonely lately. It's better if I see people. Now to see if there is anything in the house I can actually eat for lunch.

I found an individual portion of turkey chili and an individual portion of cheesy polenta in the freezer, which hopefully will go together nicely for lunch.

I managed to clean out both freezers today of all the mystery food and anything I know I froze before I got pregnant.

Now I just need to get TCG to actually was down the inside of them for me. I can barely reach to the back of them when I'm not hugely pregnant. Then, onto the second part of my plan of freezing some yummy things before ltc arrives.

Shit! TCG's step-aunt is in the hospital. I don't have any real info but her daughters' facebook posts don't sound good at all. His cousins already lost their father this year (they were divorced and I'd only met him once or twice), and step-aunt C has been very good to us. Any health~ma you can spare for her please.

Thrive to spite them

In my nephew is awesome news - my nephew is awesome at swimming. E has never been super enthusiastic in his first interactions with water related things, when he was just a baby at the beach we tried to set him down on sandbar or get his feet wet and he screamed and cried. Until he finally tried it and then screamed and cried when it was time to get out.

He hated baths and I don't think that's really changed.

First attempts at swimming lessons had to be stopped because he just didn't want to do it. But then he learned and got the hang of it! And liked it. The instructor pointed out to my brother if he signed him up for swim team he'd basically get lessons and more one on one time but cheaper. So that's what they did.

Guess what E didn't like at first? Swim team. He liked swimming by this point but not the swim team. Until he got a participation ribbon. He liked those and as long as he got ribbons he was happy and went at his own pace. He came in last but a ribbon and enjoyed it.

Until last month when he decided he wanted to go fast!!!!!

In the last swim meet of the year he got FIRST PLACE in breaststroke, freestyle, and butterfly and second place in backstroke!

I think all the going slow worked for him because he got his technique down.

He'll be 7 in August. This and rock climbing are his two favorite sports. Mom sent me a picture with his medals around his neck and he looked so cute! Especialy missing all his upper front teeth.
