Hi omnis!
I've been working on unpacking my stuff. I just realized that one bookcase that's a pain in the ass to move is about six inches off from where it needs to be if I want to fit my other stuff where it goes. Also dropped several heavy things on my feet before I realized that I should probably be wearing shoes. Walked down the block to get Thai food for lunch, and I LOVE that I can walk down the block and go to places that have food that I eat. There's even a vegetarian wine bar a couple blocks away!
I keep noticing more pieces of furniture that would make more sense in other places. And it's never the lightweight stuff. I don't really have room to maneuver the furniture around until I finish unpacking all the boxes, but unpacking the boxes will mean putting things on the shelves of the furniture, which will then make it more difficult to move. At least I found my tape measure, so I can see if things will fit before moving them.
I think I'm about a third of the way through unpacking.

Is that The Wine Guy Bistro? My mom and stepdad have said the food is pretty good there.
Oh, I just realized you can walk down to the farmers market, because it's right on the square on Sunday mornings! Blue Oven Bakery is fantastic. And if Wedge Bakery is there, they make great pies.
There's a vegan gastro pub near me, I keep meaning to go there but we so rarely get a chance to go out to eat just the two of us.
It's Unwind Wine Bar.
I'd seen some signs for the farmers market, but I'd forgotten which day it was. I'm not sure I'll buy anything this week -- it depends on how unpacked my kitchen stuff is. But I'm definitely going to go check it out.

Dang, I hadn't even heard of that one. I live under a rock. With the tacos.
t edit
Huh. That is one block from my old apartment. And I just realized I lived there 17 years ago. I would have sworn it was maybe 9. Daaaang.
I only heard of it from a website listing veg stuff.

Eh. May not be the world's biggest city, but a city. Nobody is going to know every cool place around, possibly excluding local feature journalists/reviewers, and independently wealthy party boys & girls.
I'm up and waiting for the AC guy to come and measure our wall AC to see what size replacement we need to buy. Once again my request of, please call on my cellphone has been ignored in favor of the house phone, but luckily I knew where the house phone was, actually had it charged, and was able to answer it.
Travel saga aka kindness of strangers.
The schedule was to arrive in Syracuse last night after 11 getting to Otter Lake about 1am. My flight out of FLL was delayed, then weather diversions got it to Atlanta about 15 min before my connecting flight. Arrived in concourse E and departing from Concourse A. Went as fast as a fat old lady can manage and missed the flight. There were 3 of us and they put us on a later flight to Rochester.
One of the guys says he is going to rent a car and drive to SYR and I am welcome to join him. Having never had the stranger danger talk, I said sure! After some discussion we decide that the location of my luggage is unknown and it is just as easy to drive to Oswego where my niece lives.
So with dying phone I contact Lynda and she is delighted because she doesn't have to work today and loves the surprise detour. Bobby decides to wait until morning to fetch me. One of my bags made it to Rochester, but my carryon that I let them check still went to SYR.
Had a lovely ride with Jack. Same age. 3 kids. Wife just had 60th birthday visit with her friend in Boynton. Chatted the whole trip, getting to Oswego a little after 2am. So he wasn't an axe murderer after all.
