A coworker is pregnant and looking for leads on plus-size (18-20) maternity clothes. She mentioned maybe doing lots of regular plus-size tunics or mini-dresses over leggings. She will want fleece-lined leggings for these MN winters, kid's due in March. I told her I would poke around to see if I could find anything for her. I've already pointed her to eShakti and Holy Clothing for tops. I figured it would be worth asking here, is there anywhere else I can point her to?
Spike ,'Get It Done'
Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
WS, I have found plus size maternity clothes very difficult to find. I can suggest old navy's website as well as zulily.
Ok, thanks, sj.
Jilli - not sure whether gold is in your acceptable color palette, but if so, this capelet (on sale!) really seems like it ought to belong to you.
Ooooh. If it's still available and on sale when I get home from vending at the event I'm at today, I may get it. Despite my automatic eye-rolling at "Laurie Cabot" branded stuff.
Dammit! It looks like they've finally sold out of the black beaded "widow" collar/shawl.
Pyramid is hit or miss in quality, but I got a great skirt and one of my favorite shirts from there. Unfortunately they don't give you a prepaid return label, so returns require a trip to the post office. It's good to have a place that offers plus size clothing that isn't boring.
I made it to Cincinnati, after approximately forever driving, and found that my apartment does not currently have electricity (this had been somewhat of a question -- it's going to be turned on on Monday), and it's WAY too hot to stay there without air conditioning, so I'm staying at a hotel until Monday. For some reason, practically every hotel in Cincinnati was completely booked this weekend. I wasn't able to find something myself, and was getting tired and frustrated, so I called my mom, and she searched online and called some hotels and found one out in the suburbs that had one room left.
Now I'm trying to decide what to do for dinner. I think I'm going to order something in -- I'm just so sick of driving, and probably going to fall asleep soon.
Ugh, sorry about the delay getting into your apartment. Rest and recover.
Hil, that sounds like a frustrating day. I hope you get good food and a good night's sleep.
At least you're done traveling, if not done moving around.
Yep. Now I'm thinking about how I'm going to arrange my furniture. The new apartment is a bit smaller than the old one, and it's in an old house where nothing is quite at a right angle. One wall in the living room has a non-working fireplace, which has some really pretty mosaic stuff, but it also means that I can't really use that wall for anything else, unless I cover up the fireplace.
Also, I think I might need to reschedule the internet installation, because I've got the electricity person scheduled for 8-12 on Monday, and the internet person for 10-11 on Monday, and I don't think the internet person can set up the internet stuff if the electricity hasn't been turned on yet.
And I need to buy lamps. My old apartment had overhead lights. This one doesn't.
