When we landed here you said you needed a few days to get space worthy again and is there somethin' wrong with your bunk?

Ann, that's a ferret.

((((askye)))) It sounds like your group therapy is leading to all sorts of negative emotions without any compensating benefit. Might a different group be more helpful? Might group therapy just not be a helpful setting for you?

Askye, I agree with Fred Pete. The group therapy seems to be causing you way too much stress. Maybe this is something you need to reevaluate with your therapist.

Thrive to spite them

Well this is the support group for the outpatient program I did. I could try switching to the other day it's offered.

The two big issues are: 1) there are a couple women in the group who are in their 60s. So I see them and I just feel a sense of defeat -this is all I'm ever going to be and stuff like that. 2) There's a woman who I have a personality conflict. She's bubbly (but kind of fake bubbly) she seems to get it, all she talks about are the positive changes that have gone on. I've probably blocked out anything she's tried that didn't end with her not handling something well or struggling. It makes me feel jealous and inadequate. Plus she talks a lot. I swear if we were told "Use one word to describe why you are here" she used 20 to start her preamble over why she's picking the one word.

Definitely try switching to the other group. Maybe it will be a better fit.

Always Anti-fascist!

I was in a support group for a while...it was good, at first, but it definitely stopped helping.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

The movers got all my stuff, and I got some falafel, then went to the hotel where I'm staying for the night and fell asleep for about four hours. My head is hurting a lot less now, though the headache isn't totally gone. Tomorrow, going to go back to my old apartment in the morning and clean up some stuff there, then drive to Fallingwater, then to Morgantown to stay the night. Then Saturday, driving to Cincinnati. And possibly staying at a hotel for the first few days, because the electricity in my new apartment won't be turned on until Monday.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Definitely try switching to the other group. Maybe it will be a better fit.

Ugh, yeah, askye. The one you're in sounds unpleasant and unhelpful.
