Saffron: But we've been wed. Aren't we to become one flesh? Mal: Well, no, uh... We're still two fleshes here, and I think that your flesh ought to sleep somewhere else.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

The plumber is gone! I guess that means I should shower and start getting stuff done.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Quick update - brought Mom home last night from her FOURTH hospital stay in less than 2 months. She was strong enough to come straight home instead of having to go to rehab first, so that's very good. I had been feeling like they were just treating symptoms without getting the underlying cause; finally one of her doctors explained more fully that it's not any one acute thing. It's 38 years with diabetes compromising her kidneys, heart disease doing its part, etc. So she's sent home with adjusted meds, better instructions re modulating her diet, and hopefully a better attitude about taking care of herself. I will accept any ~ma, prayers, vibes, etc., for both of us as we learn to take better care of her.

Also, Hi, still love you guys, *waves tiredly*, thanks for being here. And now, back to work. Sigh.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I need to pack and organize my stuff, because the movers are coming tomorrow morning. But I've got a massive headache and mostly just want to nap.

Epic, I'm glad you got a big picture discussion with a doctor. It does help, especially in such tough circumstances.

Yay hand-held shower head!

Yay productivity!

Ann, that's a ferret.

Good luck, Epic. We're looking at something similar with my sister-in-law. She's moving back East because her health isn't good enough any more to live by herself with no family closer than 2,000 miles away. (She'll continue to live on her own, but with 2 brothers living within a 15-minute or so drive.)

Epic, best wishes to you mother, and I hope this means no more visits to the hospital for her for a good, long time.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

~ma, Epic.

K died one year ago today. I thought I was going to be okay, and then I wasn't. Blessedly was able to take day off. Just got up from a long hard nap, and now it would be good if I did things. Brain not fully awake yet, though.

Lots of brackets for all who love K, smonster.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

smonster, that's a huge loss. Be kind to yourself. I've been thinking about you, Heather, Nora, and Tom today.

Productivity-wise, the last load of laundry is in the washer, load #2 is in the dryer, and load #1 is folded and put away (or drying on the clothesline); I put a crapton of pictures online for Tim's dad; I emailed my client; I made the bed; and I washed the dishes. Still need to thaw some salmon for dinner, clean the bathroom, call the campground, take the trash out to the curb, and walk up to the library. I think I'll pull the salmon out and then walk up to the library.
