Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I need to clean and pack and get organized. But I'm sleepy. And still a little achy.

Also, just got a bill from DHL, and I have no idea why, so I need to call them and find out.

But mostly want to nap.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Ugh, Ginger. I wish I had more than that, but I don't think anything I can say would make any of this better. I hope the new oncologist is the best thing possible for you.

Hil, have you ordered anything from overseas lately? It may be customs and duty fees. It seems to be hit or miss whether a particular shipment is examined for valuation and duty purposes. It's hit or miss if I get them when I order something internationally.

Nope. Last time I did was March.

I called. This bill was from a collection agency, not from DHL themselves. It was from the thing I ordered in March. I'm positive that I never got a bill from DHL, and I definitely never got anything saying that they'd send it to a collection agency, but I'll pay it.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Ginger, definitely time for a new doctor.

Thrive to spite them

Ginger, I'd go with "I've decided to make a change to a doctor who is geographically closer to my location." or something if you dont want to get into the not responding part.

I have bills to pay that I have to deal with. I called the disability insurance and talked to the auditor guy who was leaving me a message. Basically they extended my full disability until June 1 and then they are going to fax over information request about the return to work. At some point the money is going to run out but at least it's something.

I also had my yearly review, I got a good marks except on a few things and instead of getting 5 (the max) I got a 4. The sales manager said either he or the store manager talked to the district manager and have set up an "shell" full time position in the computers department so that 1) my job will be tehre for me and 2) they have enough hours.

Overall today went really well. I made it through work , didn't feel stoned, and was able to take care of things. The idea of being on the sales floor seems daunting so I talked to the sales manager about that and he said if I came back full time but wanted to stay in the warehouse they would make that happen. I could always transfer back to the salesfloor.

I also bought a giant stuffed very soft penguin as a self soothing tool. There was a koala and I loved them when I was a kid and I almost got it, but I was standing in Toys R Us, petting it and instead of being calming I was getting anxious. So I picked something I don't have childhood associations with.

I'm still trying to get my head around the Complex PTSD diagnosis. I guess it seems right. I don't know anymore.

But I didn't have an anxiety attack at work and I only felt slightly annoyed and that was a reasonable thing. Howver I'm still thinking "just get through Wednesday and I'll have plenty of time to recuperate" so not quite ready for 3 days a week yet.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I met with the anesthesiologist today. She was very calm and reassuring. There will be no epidural for me, so I'll be under general anesthesia for the c-section, which means TCG won't be allowed in the room.

Seconded.

This sounds like a wonderful idea, askye. I hope it helps.

Our wings are not tired.

I'm glad that you liked the anesthesiologist, sj. I know you both would prefer to be there and awake for the c-section, but health of the mother is the key thing here. Before you know it your family will be all together. And TCG better wear comfy shoes for the pacing back and forth part! When is the date set again?

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

The not responding thing is important though, and he should know about it. I think your original language was fine.

It's not yet, but my due date is August 17th, and I have been told the c-section will likely be sometime in the 39th week, if I don't go into labor before that.

I'm actually more worried about TCG than myself, but my mother will be with him, so he doesn't have to worry alone.
