Laura, I've gotten totally away from GH in the last months...some of the story lines just really started to bore me.
(my jumping the GH ship coincides with my giving up of the DailyMail. Both had gotten a bit too addicty for my feebly will. I've been more 'clean' with the DM, with only a random checking in with the GH soapnet recaps)
The inclusion of the John and Todd characters brought me back. BUT, though I have not seen any of the episodes, the idea of the Todd actor coming back as Franco(?) just creeped me out.
Has that unfolded in any sort of interesting way?

Distraction for me is the polar opposite of reality. So it is reading extreme fiction (A Feast for Crows at the moment) and soap opera (General Hospital). I have a bunch of other things in my recorded queue, but they are things that other residents of the household enjoy so I am holding off on watching those. GH is a solitary guilty pleasure.

Sending good ~ma out to those that need it, as I currently have extra good vibes to share. Completed day two with my mom on excellent terms (getting in two days without hitting a wall of extreme annoyance is very good indeed). We had a nice dinner with wine an cake for my birthday today and saw The Book of Mormon last night at t he Kennedy Center (obstructed view seats, the only reason we were able to get tickets at all) which totally lived up to the hype. Really funny and even my super Christian mon loved it (I was worried that the whole song about fucking god up the asshole might not go over so well, but she was well warned and very much enjoyed it.) finished off today with a surprise late night phone call from my doctor letting me know that my biopsy came back begnign so that was a nice big exhale of relief on a breath I didn't realize I was holding. I wish I could share my mellow (not to mention the wIne and cake) with all y'all.

Wish I could run errands now, I'm awake. Had a great Alexander Technique lesson, but the pain is back already. I really need to see if I can budget regular lessons for a while, see if I can crack this. Probably doesn't help my insomnia that I've been napping a lot the last few days. Blergh.
I keep on whining. Hmm. I am grateful to D for introducing me to the Alexander Technique and L. I'm grateful it's fig season. I'm grateful I get to go to the beach with my family soon.
