Well, a gathering is brie, mellow song stylings; shindig, dip, less mellow song stylings, perhaps a large amount of malt beverage, and hootenanny, well, it's chock full of hoot, just a little bit of nanny.

Clean ALL THE THINGS sj! Go you! I switched to fancy hangers a while back and it's been really nice. Though I just went to tj maxx and bought a couple packs of similar ones that aren't quite the same. But whatever. I went through my closet this weekend and tried on every dress in there--got rid of about 2/3rds of them (though a few are in a "put in storage in case I'm that size again" and a few are "don't donate yet maybe I want these", most are in the car to be donated). Except now I'm like "clearly this means I should order some things from eShakti, right?" (Can anyone speak to how their sizing runs?)

Thanks. I needed that. I've been in a lot of pain the last three days and getting anything done has been difficult. The hangers weren't that expensive. I have been buying lots of baby things and maternity things at zulily, and I bought them there as well. I think it was 50 hangers for $20. They're purple and non-slip so my clothes won't all end up on the floor.

I've never ordered from eShakti, but my cousin was wearing one of their dresses last time I saw her, and I was impressed with the quality.

I've been slowly transitioning my clothes to the non-slip velvety hangers too. Though in addition to the non-slip-ness, I'm also motivated by how slim they are. My unfortunately small closet is so crammed I feel like I need a crowbar to get things out, so I'm hoping slimmer hangers will make things feel less jammed in there.

Realistically, I should be inspired by you guys and really thin out the closet's contents. But one thing at a time.

Epic, the slimness is also a plus for me. We don't have much closet room in this house.

Since you can't return easily to a store, I'm skeptical of eShakti...but such cute stuff, and it has POCKETS!

eShakti has the option to customize with your exact measurements, if you feel like you're between sizes. I've never done it, so I don't know how the customized dresses turn out. I've read reviews that say it works well. (FTR, the one dress I have from eShakti -- the blue and white polka-dotted dress -- was really true to size and fit me perfectly. But my measurements fit into one size on the size chart.)

Steph! Thought of you this morning when I put on my new earrings:

Purchased at the county fair, but I made sure to get her web info 'cause I also thought of you when I bought them (I believe my exact words were, "I have a friend in Ohio who would snatch these off my ears," or, y'know, something to that effect). Also have a couple of her bracelets and necklaces. All super-cute.

Those are great! (In fact, I may have just sent the link to Tim with "Birthday Present Idea" in the subject line.)

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Welcome back to the fray, Epic! It's always good to see you here.

bonny, good to see you too! Menopause is a harsh mistress.

I've been feeling like crap lately. I wish I'd either get better, or go on and get sick for real so I can stop feeling like I need to power through it!

eShakti is really easy to return things to. I had to return one shirt because the sleeves (three-quarter length with a cuff) because the cuff was too tight. I waited a little too long to get the cash/credit back, but they gave me a gift card in the amount of the return that I able to use later.

I'm not sure if I've ever returned something that required me to mail it back. Maybe once or twice.

Always Anti-fascist!

Maybe, Windsparrow, but my diary comes out on Sunday. I mean, unless I choke a bitch. Apparently, there is no group effort small enough that there can't be Drama(and not Johnny Drama) I mean, I want it to turn out, but if I don't kill myself, maybe fifteen people will read it. If I knock myself out responding to all this pressure, wow, maybe we can get that total up to, wow, twenty-five or thirty...we have new moderators and they are very into Getting it Right. But Kosability is very much like a local bar with tight-knit regulars...it's never going to be Hooters.(and it's ironic because I think the last moderator invited a bunch of people to do stuff before they could finish Articulating their Vision or whatever, and feelings are still bruised, I guess? Really?)
