Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Our wings are not tired.

I'm not sure if anything I said made any sense, but I just needed to get it out somewhere.

Yes, it makes perfect sense. The event brings a painful memory. I hope this year's gathering brings many happy memories.

Thrive to spite them

Made it to work. Did the four hours. There was a brief time when I was worried about having an anxiety attack and didn't. Glad I dont' have to back tomorrow, need time to recuperate.

There was stuff...too boring to get into...but right now I don't see myself having the confidence to be on the sales floor. Esp since I kept having to talk to someone about a file cabinet and half the time couldnt' come up with the right words.

need Find Kitty~Ma~ !

Mom's kitty was outside and she let him out last night and he hasn't come home. They live in a wooded area so she's really concerned.

Just end vibes Lovey will find his way home.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I'm glad work went ok, askye. Lots of vibes for Lovey.

This morning we just flat-out did not get any fluids into Harvey. So I've called the vet's office - we're going in a little bit for them to administer the fluids. Then I called an animal communicator. I was willing to pay for a session to have her ask Harvey what we could do to help him accept us giving the subQ fluids. But she responded by saying she could give me advise as human to human and not charge me for it - she had a cat with CRF that would not accept the subQ fluids, too. Her cat lived for two more years. She got him a pet fountain and he drank and drank from it, and she gave him low-sodium broth. So I'm feeling a little more optimistic - even if we don't succeed with the needles, then we can help Harvey other ways.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Andi, my cats love the low-sodium chicken broth. I keep it on hand for them. The "juice" from tuna canned in water is also tempting. You don't want to give them too much of it, but there isn't much of it, anyway.

Harvey is allergic to both fish and chicken, so I'm planning on making some homemade turkey or beef broth. The principle is the same, just a smidge more effort required. But Harvey is worth it.

Punishingly Intricate

Glad you made it through the day, askye! And that you have a day of to recover. I hope it all starts getting easier.

Andi, I know how it is when an animal won't cooperate with getting the meds they need! (Or, in my old cat Swifty's case, cooperate in letting me test his blood so I could know how much medicine to give him!) So frustrating. I'm glad you have a couple of other options for getting fluid in him!

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I'm glad that the nice human could help you, WS. I know how stressful it feels, we had a cat who was too old and frail for subQ fluids.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Nice humans are good people, WS. And I'm glad there's a workaround for Harvey.
