And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

askye, I'm just catching up. I'm so sorry you're going through this right now, but I'm glad you are getting help, and grateful that you are continuing to check in with us. You are never a burden. All the love and ~ma.

Lots of ~ma to you too, Connie. I know that grief can be a long haul, with unexpected surprises.

iron ~ma to sj

job ~ma to Hil

Huga all around.

Instead of being productive, I'm spending my Sunday falling down the rabbit hole of the PBS Idea Channel (Mike Rugnetta you are THE BEST) and going to see Mad Max, which I am okay with.

Thrive to spite them

Will came and brought me clothes and chrome book so now I can split my time and not lose the charge on my phone so fast.

Reading the latest InCryptid book and almost done. I have a bunch of free books on my kindle but I may spring for a few new things just because.

There's a tv but it's in the same room where most of the group activities are so no great way to do that and I can't have head phones so streaming something isnt' an option right now (I have a roommmate) but I may wait and get a chance

While Mom was here I introduced her to Leverage and she was really into it, I think she's getting Netflix just for that... I may have said that already. Anyway it got me rewatching Leverage and I may do that when I can get some time alone.

I really want to see Mad Max and I'm planning on doing that as soon as I can.

With the chromebook I can also work on the courses I've been doing through codecademy.com I've done the HTML/CSS one and I'm currently on PHP. So it's something I can do to keep busy,

Well online work at your own pace kind of thing. I have kind of an idea. I'm going to sign up for a class via coursea or eDx that's probably a little more indepth.

At least now I can look at the source of websites and kind of see what's going on.

One of my Second life friends encouraged me to try it. He does freelance development more backend stuff than design but he said I should give it a crack, he seemed to think I had the tempermenant and might have the knack for it. I tried one course on Java through Coursea (I think) but I couldn't stand the professors voice and he kept comparing things to math, which wasn't working for me.

The Codecademy thing is all text and once I started thinking about it more like a language or even like the rules for poetry it made more sense. But java isn't the same as HTML. I'll see hwat happens when I get to Java.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Bad day for anxiety and pain. PMS ratchets both those things way up. I've had ice cream for multiple meals in the last couple of days. Here's hoping I start bleeding and feeling better tomorrow. Oh, and I think our AC may have busted some time today. I notice it felt stuffy and looked at the thermostat: set at 74, up to 79. Now 80. I changed the filter to no avail. Now I'm out on the porch and can hear it making a kind of screechy whiny sound. Have to email landlord tomorrow.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

askye and sj, feeling better vibes to you.

smonster, ugh on the bad AC. However, my gays are trying to convince me to come/go for Southern Decadence, so I may be down your way in future.

Hil, glad your interview went well, sending ~ma for that and the one on Wednesday.

And, now to bed. I was planning on a lazy day tomorrow, but just found out that a friend of mine is going to be on a float for his small town Memorial Day parade, so we are going to support at 8:30AM on a holiday. The fact that his dad, the former fire chief, is the grand marshal and I may meet hot firemen is in no way dispositive to my decision to go.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Woot! Hot firemen is never dispositive!

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

oh noes, AC woes! I feel your pain.

Been quietly cheering on askye during this tough couple of days. Otherwise, mostly sleeping and watching Arrow.

Sometimes it's the little things that can both be exciting and disappointing. White bean and kale soup showed up on the menu and there's Chicken with Pasta and Roasted Fennel. So I was going to try them for tomorrow.

Turns out they both have tomatoes which I can't eat. I forgot to ask what the seasonal fruit is going to be, but I did't want to ask someone to call down to the kitchen. Yesterday it was pineapple but today it was strawberries. I'm taking a shot it will be strawberries. If it's not maybe I can give it away/trade with someone.

I'm feeling better I just have to wait it out until I can talk to the actual doctor. It's raining so probably no outside time today. I was kind of social and I'm determined to go to every group today. If I go to all of htem it means I'm improving right?
