A ghost? What's the deal? Is every frat on this campus haunted? And if so, why do people keep coming to these parties, cause it's not the snacks.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I bought the CVS variety yesterday because I'm having some yeast issues but the directions do not say whether to take them with or without food. Google isn't helping either.

Anything I should be on the lookout for? I'm planning to do a 30 day course and am hoping for good results.

I always took them without food, but that's just because I took them with my other supplements first thing in the morning (which I take on an empty stomach because I'm not hungry when I first wake up). I don't think it matters hugely, and I can't recall reading anything about when to take them. Although I just got this month's Yoga Journal (an Xmas gift from my yogi mom) in the mail and it has an article on probiotics, so I'll skim that and see if it says.

GreenLite Meals?

Yes! Do you have experience with them, Hil? My one worry is that I can't do onions and I suspect their stuff is prepared in bulk without a lot of room for variation.

Cheers!

Since the pearls are supposed to keep the probiotic intact through the stomach, I am hoping it doesn't matter, but also thought that more acid might speed up the breakdown of the shell.

Any insight is appreciated.

The Yoga Journal article ended up being about topical skincare products with probiotic ingredients. ??? I have never heard of this, and in any case, it's not relevant to your question anyway.

I guess I'm going to stick with my position of "it probably doesn't matter if you take them with food or on an empty stomach."

Yeah, I was ordering their meals for a while. It is prepared in bulk -- unless you get one of the custom meal plans, then they just send you whatever meals they happen to make that week. I usually thought they tasted OK, but not spectacular. I often added hot sauce or spices to them. The portion sizes felt kind of small at first, but after a few days, I wasn't hungry anymore.

Mucho~ma to the Nora D family!

Data point of one, bonny, but I always took my probiotics without food - like Steph, when taking all other vitamins and supplements - and seemed to have good results.

Oh, also, the customer support people at GreenLite are great -- if there's an issue with the food (when I was getting the meals, they were in the middle of an expansion, and sometimes they didn't plan everything well enough and ended up sending me five of the exact same meal or something), just email them, and they'll email back pretty quickly and usually offer a free week of food.

We seem to have skipped Spring entirely. It's in the 90s for the 2nd day this week, and the pregnant lady is not pleased.

Good to know. I think I'll email them today about the onion issue, since they have not started shipping. If it is a problem, maybe we can head it off at the pass.

The portion size is a bit of the point for me. I've been waaay out of control stress eating, so I'm looking forward to setting my locus of control in my freezer for those 3 weeks in hope of resetting my crave-o-meter.

I sort of anticipated the need for added spice part.

I'm committed to drinking only water and tea during those days as well.

It should be interesting!

Did they prepare a lot of eggplant? That's another thing my body just says NOPE to.
