Harrow: You didn't have to wound that man. Mal: Yeah, I know, it was just funny.

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

sj, bother us. We want to know when something is up. It is our privilege to send good thoughts to you (and anyone else who might need or want them). That goes for might-be-nothing times and for buckle-up-this-is-gonna-be-a-bumpy-ride times. Pregnant plus bleeding equals medical attention. That you went to the hospital was good. That you shared it with us is also good. That it turned out to be a minor problem rather than a major one, that is even better.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

sj, I'm so relieved that everything is OK. And I'll echo what WindSparrow said so well: we want to know how things are going for you. Whenever you want the ~ma, we want to send it to you.

Happy birthday, impossibly-six-years-old Ryan!

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Thanks, WS & Kate.

ION, before I rushed home yesterday I was visiting my friend A and her twins with Mom and a bunch of my honorary aunts. The twins 3 months old now and HUGE; you would never know that one of them had issues eating when he was first born. Also, apparently the Aunts did not believe my mother when she told them how superstitious about gifts before the baby is born because they all showed up with gifts. I thought I could just be gracious and accept them, but I couldn't. I actually felt physically ill looking at them. So someone is holding onto them until ltc is born.

Bah, a friend just cancelled on her plan to stop by here this afternoon. Actually, I e-mailed her to find out what time she was coming and she responded that she had an appointment today she had forgotten about. So, it's possible she wasn't going to cancel, just not show up. On the one hand I don't have to worry about the fact that the house is a mess, but I'm feeling lonely today and was looking forward to the company.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart
