[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

The nurse was worried about my O2 levels and asked if I woke up with headaches, which can be caused by lack of oxygen while sleeping. My CPAP seems to deal with that nicely.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

This is the same thing that happened when I went from 150mg of Lamictal to 200mg way back when, which is what is happening now. (Lamictal is used to stabilize bipolar disorder.) It's one of the reasons I went off it after months of headaches; I just couldn't stand it any longer. But I didn't work with that shrink to find another route, so I'll talk it over with this one if it goes on more than another week or so. I've only been on the increased dose since last Wednesday; I can tolerate it a little longer. I'll keep the Nortriptyline in mind, Strix. I'm also on a low dose of Seroquel as a sleep aid, maybe a switch would work for both? I'm willing to experiment if it means I can get rid of the headaches.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Nortriptyline is also supposed to help with sleep, though it doesn't do anything for me. (PS, not Strix.)

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

sj, sorry about all the dietary woes. Would having some kind of online food tracker help? I use [link] to track my food and exercise. If anything, it will help keep you more aware of what you're eating. You have to be honest, though, for it to really be of benefit.

Dietician turned up her nose at that idea. She wants everything on the piece of paper she gave me, but I'll probably do something like that for my own benefit.

I suck at the little testing machine. I had to prick my finger three times to make it work.

Herding cats for fun

So very tired. My sister is in the last stages of packing house to move and it is all taking so long.

Now, this is an Eviction from the house my sisters have lived in for more than twenty years. Officially it is because of hoarding and too much stuff everywhere; really it is because new renters will pay far more and all the landlords on the block are doing it this year.

So the man who owns the house cannot stay away and is always puttering around dealing with the yard while I slog away at the hard work his business decision has allotted me. He doesn't speak English (riiiight) and keeps trying to speak to me in mumbling gibberish. Apparently it hurts his feelings that I give him hard looks. Moron. Why must he put his stupid self into my angry face over and over??? Does he not understand that what is happening is not a good thing for us and that I am not his friend?

I relieve my feelings by scripting an elaborate scenario about murder, fire and cement down every drain in the house.

Also I relieve my feelings by decluttering, donating at the thrift and doing a better job at vacuuming than my sister ever has.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Soooo... I may have forgotten that yesterday was my wedding anniversary. Biyi forgot too, but she has taken the considered opinion that remembering these things is my responsibility. She may have suggested it showed husbandly failure. I countered that eight years sounds more like husbandly awesomeness. There may have been an impromptu boogie. (So that's her anniversary present taken care of.)

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

Sj - it is worth it for the health of your baby. and Laura is right - the constant eating works to keep you from wanting the milkshake or big bowl of pasta. or at least from being able to indulge.

testing -- make sure our hands are warm. run them under warm water and dry them . --massage the hand you plan to test .

as far as testing - before breakfast and before bed are important. the other two - are so you can see the pattern. what do you react to - when do you need to pay attention to activity level vs food.

let it work for you . and whining is allowed
