Zoe: Next time we smuggle stock, let's make it something smaller. Wash: Yeah, we should start dealing in those black-market beagles.

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I'm also hating facebook right now and the stupid relationship status thing. If you change it does it show on your timeline because I really don't want to have to deal with that.

Yes, I think it still does.

Oh, and speaking of dragons. I also have a super cute onesie that says, "Geek life is like regular life except we have dragons"

Thrive to spite them

And I just got a bill for one lab test that's nearly $400. I have no idea what it's for and all offices are closed until Monday. Based on the date I can't tell but it has to be either the flu or whopping cough. But I didn't know and I wish I had known those were going to be so expensive.

I feel like my life has turned into a medical money pit.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

It DOES show up, but you can make a status update that's all "Yes, my relationship status changed. I don't want to talk about it, get calls or messages right now. So -- just don't EVEN right now. I mean it."

hip deep in pie

askye, I think it will show up if you change your status, but you can click on the arrow in the top right corner and "hide from timeline" should be an option.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

My favorite onesie for newborn Matilda was the one Raq made for her with Invader Zim on the front saying, "Perfectly Normal Human Worm Baby."

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Did make it to Urgent Care, and all will be well. I need to call on Monday and find myself a PCP.

{{{askye}} Glad it's not as bad as it could have been, but still sucks. I think you can just no have a relationship status for a while.

Dragon baby room sounds awesome, as long as you don't start calling her Khaleesi.

Always Anti-fascist!

I can't imagine ever posting my status. But then again, they don't have the Samantha Baker option, to wit "I've been here my whole life and I'm like a disease." I thought it would get better as I got older too. Turns out that's a mom lie like "They're just jealous."

I am up way too early on a Sunday for a regular fasting blood test (not the drink test). I'm not even allowed to have water.

Our wings are not tired.

How did the test go yesterday, sj? Do you look like a pincushion?

It has been a week or so at Casa Holt. Super stress all round. The building where my office was got sold and things did not go well with the new landlord so now I have 5 desks in the 2 north bedrooms of my house. It actually looks pretty good, and I am in favor in general of having the office at home. The whole moving an incredible amount of stuff, and lawsuits, and all that stuff, so not fun.

The whole moving thing was only a little bit stressful compared to more drama with #1 son. He showed up at my door Friday night in a bad state. No shirt, just gym shorts and slides. Sweating from running here and in a state of panic. Drug induced paranoia. His eyes were jumping all over and his face twitching and grimacing. After talking to him for about an hour I took him to the hospital. He was admitted on Saturday to the psych ward, voluntarily. Or you know not so much since he only did so because I asked him to. Well, that hasn't been so good. They want to give him medication and he refuses, and I refuse. His history with medication is bad. He has opposite reactions to stuff, as in Demerol makes him hyper and caffeine puts him to sleep. Lots of stuff doesn't work at all. He needs to have one of those DNA screenings where they determine how his chemistry reacts to different classes of meds. I am not going to have them play lotto with his brain when chemicals are what got him into trouble. He is fine, and I can totally handle him on my own, but although he no longer is high or anything, he still is mad at me for not believing him about the government agents that harassed him when he was tripping. So, still having issues.

And of course it is Monday and I have to work. But if I can get him out I am going to go stay with my sister. My brother worked at a state hospital in NY for 20 years in detox and is really good at this stuff. B respects and likes him so this should be okay.

Not a great weekend. I sincerely hope to hear tales of great weekends from the rest of you!
