"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

The internet is too quiet today, and I'm suddenly really anxious today. Maybe it's because the ultrasound is scheduled for tomorrow.

Feel-better~ma for Hil and askye! Rotten treatment from the universe all around. Also, a little calm~ma, sj.

I took the state civil service office exam this past Monday. Makes me feel like I'm not so trapped in my current position. We'll see what happens once my scores get entered. I've been looking for a permissive transfer position, but they seem to be few and far between, so this opens up more positions for me. Unfortunately, the application deadline for a position I'd be really suited for closes on the 22nd and I won't have my test scores by then. Argh.

Can you send in the scores once you have them, Sail? I bet they'd wait on that once piece of info.

It's an automated system and won't let me submit until the scores are in their electronic records.

That's frustrating, Sail. Is there anyway to contact someone directly and let them know what the situation with the test is?

Damn stubborn uti is not cleared up yet. I'm very frustrated and getting more worried. I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow after the ultrasound. So, I guess we're going to discuss it with her then.

I could probably send my resume directly to the department that's posting the position, but they may just chuck it because 1) the position wasn't listed as a permissive transfer, which would allow me to apply outside the state system and strictly within the UW system, and 2) my name won't be on the list they request from the state because my scores aren't ready. The way the state system works is: the job gets posted, people apply and get put on a list, the department that posted the position tells the state how deep into the list they want to go: 15, 25, 35, etc. and then the department interviews everyone on the list. I'm stuck at the point where I can't apply because no scores. Sigh.
