Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

My most-hated chore. I don't mind the washing and drying; it's the effing folding and putting away that sends me into a despair spiral. *Looks at two baskets of clean laundry, sighs*

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Me too, Strix. Now that I have, blessedly, a washer and dryer in the house, that part of the chore is easy. It's the folding and putting away that never gets done.

Really, I need to finish the reorg and purge of my closets and drawers, so I'll have room to put clothes away easily, without having to shove anything in, and without tripping on shoe boxes in the process.

Ann, that's a ferret.

I kind of like the washing and drying part because I can do something else and tell myself I'm accomplishing two things at once. Even folding isn't too bad if I can detach my mind and let it wander -- it's sort of a mental equivalent of chewing gum. Putting away feels like drudgery far in excess of the actual effort involved.

brillig

I need to just throw away all my orphan socks. I keep telling myself that it will be much easier to sort my socks if I only have known pairs, but I imagine that there are orphans silently screaming "No! My mate isn't missing! It's in the other room, for the love of god, don't leave us separated!"

I should probably avoid anthropomorphizing cloth.

You're not alone. I anthropomorphize everything.

Maybe that's why I like Marie Kondo's book so much. She treats everything as if it has a spirit, which comes rather naturally to me.

Bagel has been consumed, and now I have to go pay my car taxes, which are not late but are due today.

Thank you for the reminder to move laundry.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Thank you for the reminder to *do* laundry. It's been that kind of week.

I put another load in before I left. My problem with laundry right now is the lifting and carrying.

Done with work for now. Time to go fold laundry. Then I think I'll use the UFYH app to help me get some stuff taken care of.
