I battle evil. But I don't really win. The bad keeps coming back and getting stronger. Like that kid in the story, the boy that stuck his finger in the duck.

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Sounds like it could be hypomania, askye. Good for you for knowing yourself. Take care, and please be gentle with yourself.

Compassionately intolerant

I wonder if that's exhaustion or let-down or something.

Andi, I'd bet that both are true.

Typo, the latest research I've seen found that eggs don't have a harmful effect on cholesterol levels in diabetics, and eating eggs helps with appetite control because they're satisfying. Egg yolks also contain lutein and zeaxanthin, which are good for your eyes. May I also suggest supplementing with bilberry and/or black current? Both have been shown to be very good for eyes.

Typo, I've read what Zen has read and strongly endorse the black currant suggestion. I have no knowledge of bilberry, but black currant, according to stuff I've read on the internet, is packed with good stuff. Plus? Yummy!

Tomales Bay

I wanna come! This winter is dancing on my last, decaying nerve.

So, I read on facebook that Westboro plans to picket Leonard Nimoy's funeral. I kinda want to buy a vat of popcorn and watch a live feed of that.

You don't mess with the Trek! Or a cultural icon.

Or, well, ANYONE ELSE, you hosers...is what I would say to the Westies if I was there!

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

askye, I'm glad you recognize the symptoms and contacted your therapist. I'm sorry things aren't going well with Will.

Good luck making dietary changes, Typo. I think they sell black currant concentrate at my local health food store. It is the kind of thing that is good mixed with some seltzer.

I'm not sure they know what they're getting themselves into with that one.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I have been very slothful today. I feel bad about it, but not bad enough to clean the bathroom.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

WTF reason does Westboro even have?? But, yeah, the Trekkies will have his back.

mental health~ma, askye. I hate that bouncy, can't sit still feeling, especially when nothing I do feels satisfying no matter how much effort I put into it. It's like when I go to the fridge and stand there frozen with indecision because I know there's nothing in there I really want. Ugh. I hope it passes quickly for you.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

Oh my, syphillis is on the rise in PDX.

Did I tell ya'll about the time I talked to WBC at work? They were trying to protest a Blazers game if Portlanders love anything more than our sportsball teams, it's any reason to gather in a protest-type fashion. WBC lasted about 10 min before they fled the huge crowds of dancing and singing Portlanders. This cell phone kept calling 911 complaining that "violent" protesters were banging on their car...but they could never tell us where they were or what street they were on and kept hanging up and not answering on callbacks. Eventually they called and complained that they found a police officer who refused to help them. Never gave a name but I talked to three distinctly different voices from the same phone number with a kansas area code. Still waiting for the lawsuit against our police bureau.

Always Anti-fascist!

I love that story. They should film it and show it every Christmas.

In other news of things that are delightful: anyone who didn't catch Lee Pace on the Mindy Project a few weeks back should totally check it out. I mean, if you like Lee Pace. And/or drooling over Lee Pace. Hubba hubba.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

mental health ~ma, askye. It sounds like a hard place to be but it's so good you recognize it and want to make it better.

I want this. And I'll use eye health as a fabulous reason. But mostly because it also sounds tasty.

And food trucks.

Damn, I miss PDX.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

There needs to be a protest with sportsball at a foodtruck.
