Spike: Or maybe Captain Forehead was feeling a little less special. Didn't like me crashing his exclusive club, another vampire with a soul in the world. Angel: You're not in the world, Casper.

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Ann, that's a ferret.

((((Steph))))

Shit's all sorts of different now.

People who tell you to get over it, need to get over themselves. Having something as significant as your JOB change is no small thing and they need to, as they say at Grace Bros, "Shutcher cake 'ole".

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Aren't employment changes in the 6 biggest stressors an adult can experience. It isn't a hangnail. I think it is right before moving, but after death of a loved one.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Steph, you are doing amazing! If anyone tells you what you are going thru is easy, they are an ignorant asshole. Is there anyone at work you could talk with? Y'all are going thru the same stress. Maybe a little group therapy?

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Steph, listen to us, not everyone else. We're right.

askye, apartment~ma to you.

NH company wants me to come up on the 22nd. The 22nd-24th are going to be tough because someone is out on vacation, and I won't get the time off approved. Argh. Potential company is looking at other days, but I don't want to come off as difficult.

Compassionately intolerant

Phosphate Girl and Polter-Cow! They fight...ennui!

What a charming image!

Congratuwelldone, PC. I'm excited for you.

By the way, 'I've wanted to ask you out since we first met a long time ago' is _super_ romantic. I do believe I sighed reading that.

Aw Steph. I'm sorry. And join you on the not doing well bench.

I, too, slept like rubbish and am in a lot of pain, so my day is bad so far. Plus, some work agita. Ergh.

This shoulder of mine is really, truly plaguing me.

My bff told me to take 2 Aleve every 12 hours for at least 7 days. This is what worked for her when an ortho prescribed it to get over a bad muscle strain. I've been giving it a go, and thought it was working. Not so much today.

So annoying.

And this, after two really _good_ days, makes today feel even worse.

Good ~ma to all who need it.

And how could I forget? P-C, that's great! I'm excited for you.

Urgh, how do I do this without setting off alarm bells at work? I'm using the doctor's appointment excuse because they're going to want a reason.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

She had a boyfriend then, as I immediately discovered after adding her on Facebook that night. An action I partially took to determine whether or not she had a boyfriend.

Oof. I hope you can work something out. I think they'll understand, and you can also frame it as being dedicated and committed to covering your co-worker in their absence.

Or you could do that.

Our wings are not tired.

Stick to your guns, Maria. They'll get over it - After You Are Gone to the new shiny job!

Teppy, there would be something amiss if you weren't freaking out!

((Bonny)) I hope you get some relief. It is hard to baby it when it has been doing good.

Amy - Jul 10, 2013 7:22:10 am PDT #1750 of 30002
Because books.

Teppy, do you want to see more Mediabistro job listings? Or is that not helpful right now?

Also, what Laura and everyone else said. A freakout is definitely warranted.

All luck with the interview, Maria!
