Is it fair use to buy an adult coloring book and make a few copies of some of the pages to color different ways? Does that change if I make a small number of copies to give to a few of the folks at the houses I work at?

I think both would be fine. You aren't profiting from the copies.

I think that's most of what I wanted to say. I am so tired. It's been a really hectic week. The high school literary conference I run is next Wednesday, so I've been drowning in prep for that in addition to normal teaching load. And even though I'm only taking one class at a time and I can work at my own pace since it's online, pursuing a second masters degree while teaching full time can be challenging sometimes.

Working full time, working towards a graduate degree, running a conference...but I still feel like a slacker next to Drew.

My thinking is that, if you are not profiting from the copies, as Steph said, it is not an offense.

bonny, I can't remember who came up with the link for the coloring books at zulilly, but it wasn't me.

Thank you for reassuring me it's ok to share a bit of the fun of coloring. I used to print out coloring pages from free websites for people to color, but the printer we have now is a bit of a PITA, so I stopped. People keep asking when I'm going to bring more... and I thought this might be a way to do that.
