Angel: Connor, this is Spike and Illyria. Guys, this is Connor. Connor: Hi. umm...I like your outfit. Illyria: Your body warms. This one is lusting after me. Connor: Oh...no, I--I--it's just that it's the outfit. I guess I've had a thing for older women. Angel: They were supposed to fix that.

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

X-posted from Natter:

Question for the cat-knowledgeable: Finn and new kitty are still getting along, hanging out, playing, and generally being buds, but Finn is still barely eating. Is that normal, given the disruption in his routine?

Always Anti-fascist!

I spent monies to wrap them...I can't do that stuff. But since my hammock's a bit nicer this year, why not?(yes, I still hate the frelling "hammock' thing. Anne, I'd think so. Maybe put another bowl in a special place Finn likes...

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Erika, I figured you did since the package came directly from Powells, and I wanted to be sure you knew you got what you paid for. I'm not familiar with the hammock thing or if I was, I've forgotten what it means.

In our defense, there are a lot of mountains here.

Yes, indeed. I think I'm in the Cottonwood area. Is that a thing?

I'm driving a manual Ford Focus Halfback and this thing is ugly. Or at least, it doesn't appeal to me. The plus side is that it had less than 200 miles when I picked it up.

Our wings are not tired.

askye I am beginning to wonder if you have mono or something else that causes extreme exhaustion. What do you think?

Anne, I am not as knowlegeable about cats as some others, but I think he's still adjusting. Then again, one of my dogs won't eat if: there are unusual shadows on the walls; there are strangers anywhere inside or outside of the house; there are any flying insects anywhere in the house; I am wearing shoes; her manipura Chakra is misaligned.

Okay the last one is a reach, but still.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

No, dog chakras are mysterious and frequently wonky things.

Yes, it is a thing. There are two Cottonwood Canyons, Big and Little. The major ski resorts up there. Take your rental and go canyon blasting! Put some mileage on it!

Thrive to spite them

Anne, Finn may like sharing space with Spidey but not sharing food. Or he may still be adjusting and excited and food isn't as interesting as Spidey. Cats are weird.

Nanita, I don't think I have mono. I haven't had a high fever, I had a bit of a fever off and on. Also the sore throat I had and swollen lymph nodes were attributed to the coughing and sinus/ear infection. Nothing is swollen right now.

I think it's really more of recovering from being sick and not having full strength from being sick. The last 2 weeks I was pretty much on the couch or in a chair. Unless I was at a doctor's appointment, pharmacy or grocery store.

If I'm still feeling this tired and run down by next Wednesday I'll call the doctor again. At work I usually walk about 5-6 miles, depending on how many times I have to go back and forth across the store. And there's the climbing ladders, carrying printers and desktop computers and just standing. Plus the mental task of trying to remember all the questions to ask and getting information from people and trying to figure out what they are talking about when they don't know proper names for things or aren't sure what they want.

I got pissed at an older gentleman today becuase he and a friend were ripping the tops off boxes to get into cable to find the right cable. It took forever to figure out all he needed was an HDMI cable, but then he told me he didn't want to take teh one out of his monitor and it was too short, so I had to find a connector. I told him I find a longer HDMI cable, but no he wanted a connector.

Then a lady was looking for a charging cable for her camera and I was sure we didn't have one and she was sure she'd seen something that fit last week. So I was in 3 departments trying to get a cable that would fit. I showed her the wall chargers for the batteries (she need to charge her battery) and no that wouldn't work - too bulky for her purse. She wasn't happy when I told she'd have to go through Sony.

And the lady who had an issue which we couldn't solve easily so she ranted. Then she ranted against Windows 8 and how evil it was that Microsoft made people pay for their email. It took me forever to figure out she was upset that Outlook isn't included with the OS anymore and then I asked her about her email address. It was Comcast. I pointed out that Comcast was webbased email and all she had to was go on the website.

I know this says web-based, but I read it as web-assed. Which, yeah, Comcast probably does have web-assed email. I bet the cow-orkers use it!!

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I think we've discussed this sort of thing before...

If I had a bunch of Humira lying around that needed a new home there is no official way to do that, right? I'd just need to ask around?
