I don't know about you guys, but I've had it with super-strong little women who aren't me.

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Our wings are not tired.

65, but despite the morning chill they promise it will get to 77 mid-day. You were asking for it!

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

According to my thermostat, it's 48 inside my apartment. Heat is set at 72. I just turned on the space heater, which will help some, but it'll take a little while.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

It's 13 right now, and supposed to get up to 29 I think. Light snow tonight.

One cat is laying on the heater vent in my office, the other cat is laying buy the space heater, and the downstairs cat is laying on Dan.

We have to go out today to go to Lowes and to Target. And I'm supposed to do something fun with my Londonn reunion friends -- I had to beg off dinner and dancing last night, because I overdid Friday night, and I was in serious pain again, and broke down and took some meds and was not OK to drive.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

We have low 20s and panic. We're supposed to get snow and/or freezing rain tonight and tomorrow. After last year's Snowpocalypse, the state is feverishly preparing. At least most of the schools were already out tomorrow.

I am actually out of bread, but do I want to face the bread-and-milk crowd?

Oh, great. Now my mom is freaking out about the cold on my facebook page. (This is after she freaked out about the flu going around campus a few days ago, and advised me to cancel my office hours and not let anyone get near me.)

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I have no clue what the temperature is, I refuse to turn the TV on to find out. Probably because I am drinking Jilli's lovely Lady of the Manners tea and enjoying it a lot. I do like her Evil Bunny Alliance better, though. I have to say that they are a couple of the better blends I've gotten from Adagio. I tried Agent Carter Cake, yesterday, and think I found my soulmate. I didn't think I'd totally like a tea where the main flavor is coconut, but I wanted to try it because how could Agent Carter cake not be awesome? It was heavenly with raw sugar and a splash of half and half, it was light and airy, just like a good coconut cake.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I started coughing as soon as I woke up. I don't wake up coughing. I don't think I cough when I'm asleep so that can't be pertussis. And it seems weird that I don't wake up coughing. I feel like I'm some how faking this. Making myself be sick.

askye, it could be the change in your breathing when you wake. It could be that you are concerned or nervous about coughing when you are awake and not when you are sleeping. It could be any number of things, none of which are faking. I know when I get sick the cough lingers for weeks after other symptoms are gone. That's just how my body works. Just keep doing what you need to to alleviate the symptoms and cut yourself a little slack.

It's apparently a little colder here than it has been...but it's SUNNY out!! And it's supposed to be over 60 tomorrow and Tuesday. I think we're getting someone else's springtime, a few months early.

Somehow last weekend I got SO much done. This weekend, I have gotten nothing done. No laundry, no house projects....blahhhhh.

OK, thoughts--has anyone switched out their deadbolt to a keypad lock? SUPPOSEDLY I can do this myself. I'm hesitant to hire someone to do it when I know it'll take them 10 minutes, and I kinda figure OK, if I can do it in an hour or three, sure. But I"m also worried I"ll start, fail, adn then have to emergency call someone to fix it lest I have my door have no lock!

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

askye, this. Both of these. When my asthma is acting up, I cough all the time, but not when I'm asleep. Sleeping, your body's relaxed, and the bronchial spasms that cause the cough relax also. (The trick, of course, is getting to sleep.) You're not faking it or making yourself cough.

meara, this is the sort of thing I call a professional for. Ten minutes and it's done and it's right. No stress, no cussing, no wasted hours. I don't mind spending time learning to do some house-maintenance thing that I'll need to know again, but changing a lock? Call a locksmith and save the time and stress. (My sister has the opposite mindset. She'd rather save money than time. This is probably why she's richer than me, but I'm a helluva lot calmer.)

It's 21 degrees here and going down to 7 tonight. Not the coldest on record here, but that is a contest I'm happy to lose. It won't be above freezing all week. What do the birds and wildlife do when all the water is frozen?

Thrive to spite them

Rationally I know that, but this being sick for so long is just stirring up stuff and making me more anxious.

I'm also really sick of talking about this all the time.

So today I ... watched Spartacus Blood and Sand or SAnd and Blood or whatever the first season was. it went by fast because I had to fast forward through most of the blood and gore. But I might have lingered some on the naked men...I think the images had restorative powers.
