Or maybe you could just be Buffy, he'll see your amazing heart, and he'll fall in love with you.

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Steph, thank you for that link. I registered for eShakti and now have a $30 GC to spend. I love the look of all the dresses I clicked on and the fact you can customize! Genius.

My blue and white polka-dotted dress that I wore in the pinup photos is from there, and I can say that the measurements are true. And a lot of their dresses have pockets, which is THE BEST.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I am also superstitious about showers before the baby is born, I thought I was crazy.

That's the Jewish tradition. Lots of people don't even have any baby stuff in the house until the baby is born -- most stores that sell baby stuff in places with a decent-sized Jewish population will have a program where you can buy all the stuff you need and they'll keep it at the store, then you call them after the baby is born and they'll deliver it.

I can blame my grandmother for all my weird superstitions. And thank you!

Somehow my Italian grandmother adopted the Jewish tradition. Although, I'm not really opposed to buying stuff and having it in the house ahead of time. I am, however, really weird about calling a baby by the name the parents choose before it is born. Even if the parents are doing it, I can't bring myself to do it.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

We didn't want folks calling our kids by their actual names before they were born either, but that had more to do with all the unsolicited advice people wanted to give about better names than the ones we'd chosen.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

NOT SHOCKINGLY, my mother was the WORST about that, Burrell.

She was Not Fond of my name choices, and kept suggesting shit like Sandee. (Two Es)

We're not telling anyone, even our parents, the names we picked. So they get no opinions.

Oh, they'll give them. Even if you don't share, they'll give them.

It's just probably easier to ignore if you don't tell them.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Rupert is an exceptionally strong name.

Yeah, not really recommending. I just always think of Giles saying this when baby names come up as a topic.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I'm convinced not all men suck, I've just never met them.

I know not all men suck. I've met some great men! They are all partnered, to wiser and swifter persons than I.

I have that superstition too, though being of Southern Presbyterian extraction, I've no idea where it comes from. My sister must have it also; she nicknamed both kids when they were fetuses and didn't tell anyone their names until they were born.

Compassionately intolerant

I tend to call womb dwelling babies whimsical names like Bobbin or Poppet. Some friends called their fellow, Spud. Made me smile every time.
