Thrive to spite them

I don't have the flu or the other thing they cultured me for. Which, I pretty much knew. If I'm not feeling better Thursday I'm supposed to go back and so they can ...figure out something.

The nurse I talked to said there are several viruses going around and that I'm probably like many other people who have gotten back to back virus. Or in my case, virus, infection, virus.

Working in retail doesn't help especially when everyone keeps coming into work sick and people go out shopping.

I have hand sanitizer (from Samsung) and I'll be using that a lot at work.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

The last time I worked retail, There was another girl who trained in at the same time I did. She kept getting cold after cold. When I finally noticed her habits, I enouraged her to follow my practice of A)Always wash hands thoroughly before eating or drinking on break; and 2) If you absolutely have to rub your eye, nose or mouth, excuse yourself to the bathroom and wash hands before and after. That seemed to help her considerably. The second part is probably the hardest because we touch our own faces so much without even thinking about it.

I didn't get this sick last year, but last year was up at the pick up area and more isolatd from customers and co workers. This year there's more people.

Plus this year there's just more viruses going around. The nurse on the phone and the one I saw yesterday said it's a bad year and people keep getting sick and then catching something else.

I seem to be starting my second round of ick in 3 months. I do my best to wash my hands often and such...but my lungs HATE me right now.

Dear Eris and Thor and everyone else:

Thank you for sparing me so far from the ick.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Dear Eris and Thor and everyone else:

Thank you for sparing me so far from the ick.

Hail Eris and all the other gods so kindly disposed to my health.

Also, the god of working from home and being able to go grocery shopping at midnight.

HAIL to the deity of non-cold-having!

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Can I have some ~ma for my friends baby? It's one of the twins born the other day. Baby H is back in the hospital for a couple of days for tests. He's having trouble feeding and the doctors are possibly worried about other issues.

Oh, Thor, how have I upset thee? How may I regain your favor?
