The money was too good. I got stupid.

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

I'm so sorry, Laura. Those are heavy blows one right after another.

Our wings are not tired.

You don't get used to it for sure. A couple years ago when my mom lost one of her friends she told me how this was the last person who remembered the things she remembered. All of her family and friends that she grew up with were gone. Downside to being 93 I guess.

Just sucks so much.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I'm sorry, Laura.

Are we just getting to an age where death is becoming more common?

I think we are. As someone or other said, at 30 the warranty runs out and around 40 things start falling off. Of me and my three friends in my apartment complex, only one still has both parents living.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Oh how awful for her, Laura.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Sending job~ma, Calli!

Laura, your poor friend. That's just too much.

Are we just getting to an age where death is becoming more common?

I think so. My sister says she started losing contemporaries in her 50s.

A couple years ago when my mom lost one of her friends she told me how this was the last person who remembered the things she remembered.

That's so fucking hard. I am still friends with a couple people I might not otherwise have remained friends with, just because they are the only ones in my life who also remember Melisa.

meara, that makes sense to me too, but if there's a way to deal with dieting that doesn't involve watching everything you eat like a hungry vulture, I haven't found it.

As someone or other said, at 30 the warranty runs out and around 40 things start falling off.

I think Nature doesn't have much use for us after about age 40. If we want to keep living, we gotta work on it.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Yeah, I feel like I'm entering a double whammy where the generation ahead of me, old family friends and stuff, are starting to go or become precarious at an alarming rate, but my peers are also moving into the "wow, that's pretty young" rather than the "crazy freak accident" age range. Unfun.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

My quiz results there were "The size you entered is out of our current size range."

Me too! Sadface.

"Hoo wee, them's some tits you got there, girl! Yeah, we don't even know what to do with that much titty. Good luck wrangling them bazongas, sweetheart! True&Co. out!"

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Speaking of generational issues mentioned above, I just found out that my aunt is in the hospital with what sounds like a stroke. She was married to my late uncle, the WWII navy fighter pilot. She's one of my favorite relatives--always positive and encouraging.
