Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I just have no idea why the sudden break from dealing with so many things doesn't feel good in itself.

I tend to think of it as the recoil from firing a gun. There's the action of pulling the trigger and the bullet being fired, which equates to the stressful situations as they are happening, which is followed by the recoil, which is the reaction *after* the bullet is fired. The recoil is now, when you have a break from the stressful things, but their impact catches up to you.

Not a perfect analogy, but it works for me.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Humm. That makes sense. Thanks, Steph and Windsaprrow.

I'm glad I have folks to explain me this stuff. I'm not cynical at all - I'm really not in touch with my emotions and have next to no idea what is going on. It's very confusing.

So now I'm just supposed to feel like this for a while, and it will eventually change?

It will. The part that sucks is where you can't just speed it along because you want to stop feeling that way. Just feel your feelings and keep taking good care of yourself, and it'll pass.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Shir, Teppy and Windsparrow are wise. I hope the feeling passes quickly, and, in the meantime, take good care of yourself.

My mother has learned to text. Send help.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

OK. That makes sense. And thanks. Though it feels a bit stupid to get stuck with an echo of a stress.

I also found that reading really helps me to pass the time and improve my mood. I'm reading books as if I'm 14 again and have all the time in the world to sink in them. Though thankfully, I read in English much faster these days. That could have been frustrating.

Oh, sj. I feel you. My mom knows how to text, but she hardly uses any punctuation. I get a lot of emoticons from her. Very recently, she also learned how to email. She really loves large fonts, colors, and changing them in between emails.

hip deep in pie

LeNubian, I went from a 44DD to a 40G when I had a bra fitting this winter. I need to get more new bras soon.

(((Shir))) Take care. And Teppy and Andi have wise words.

I've been bloating up a lot after eating toast. I fear I am verging on some kind of wheat/gluten intolerance. But it doesn't happen with flour totilla or bagels or pastries, but I definitely notice it everytime I have regular bread.

We're supposed to have a meeting this morning to discuss what's happening next in our almost-unemployment. I'd like to get it over with. My stomach hurts.

Hoping for the best and smoothest outcome possible, Steph.
