I have returned safely from the market. Every other crazy person in my town was also there. No snow yet.

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Regarding the effect of the weather on the body, I've been noticing lately that I often get headaches and non-specific body aches when it's raining/going to rain. That's when barometric pressure drops, right?
It's kind of weird working for a New Jersey company when I'm in Virginia. The office is closing early (I get to keep working, of course), they've switched the servers to the Arizona back-ups just in case, my co-workers are battening down their hatches, and I'm all, yeah, it's raining a bit here. Why'n't'ch'all move down South?

I think so, yeah. Did I already post this? I seriously can't remember. The last time I had a weather-induced headache, I finally looked up what the actual mechanism is that causes pain (headache, joint pain) when the weather changes.
Well, when we're having high pressure, it's basically like a consistent all-over pressure on the body, like holding something in. When pressure drops, the body reacts to less pressure by thinking it would be a great idea to try to expand, so sinuses and other tissue apparently are trying to just get the hell OUT of your body.
The pain is coming from INSIDE THE HOUSE.
Same mechanism that causes the bends in divers who come up too fast when they've been down longer/deeper over a certain amount of time. Dissolved gasses come out of solution and want to invade all the crevices of your body. Ouchie.
My face/sinuses are Killing Me today. I want to kill them.
We had nuisance snow over the weekend.
Also - my joints are also protesting the weather.
Oh, good. The bends. That makes sense, and also makes me feel better about downing Advil. It's not all just in my head! Well, it is in my sinuses.
Yeah, I have cysts in my breasts, and low pressure systems mean they start aching. Sadly, I'm rarely in company where when someone says, "My knee's really aching in this weather," I can reply, "Dude, you should feel my tits."
Can I have some ~ma for a friend that is currently very pregnant with twins? The hospital is refusing to take her early for a C-section (she is due to have one in 4 days), and she is worried about going into labor and not being able to get to the hospital in time in the storm. One of the babies is breach, so she has to have a C-section.

So that's why! I was just putting it down to menopause.
