Spike: We got a history, him and me. Fred: What? Spike: It was a long time ago. He was a young Watcher, fresh out of the academy when we crossed paths. It was a, what-you-call battle of wills and blood was spilled. Vendettas were sworn. It was a whole-- Fred: My God you're so full of crap. Spike: Yeah. Okay.

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Thrive to spite them

Laura I hope your oldest can find some direction and balance in his life.

Andi I'm really sorry you have to deal with a coworker like that.

I managed work for an hour, made actually decent sales. But all the talking and moving got to me. I heard "wow you loook rough" (from coworker), and "are you sure you feel okay to work" (from my supervisor) and "uyou don't look like you feel well" (from a customer). Also my supervisor and an assistant manager separately toold me if I needed to I should go home. So here I am. My voice is okay (until I talk for 5 minutes straight) but I just feel tired and lightheaded.

I also gave up the Apple specialist thing and people were cool with that. My supervisor was worried i wanted out of the department and I told him no. I just wanted to be a generalist not a specialist.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Feel better, Scrappy.

Askye, I'm glad they understand the desire to rearrange your duties.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Feel better, Scrappy.

askye, it sounds like your work is being very supportive. I'm glad to hear it. It is so often not the case in retail positions.

We're having thessaly and Victor over tonight to watch Hannibal and eat Thai take-out. So, I guess I should get around to showering and cleaning up the house a bit.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

But the most important question, sj: will the Thai be vegetarian?

Shit's all sorts of different now.

If one were to get someone else's artwork as a tattoo, should one get permission from the artist first?

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

At least make an attempt to contact the artist.

(Which reminds me, I need to start poking the Adorable One to get to work on the designs for some upcoming tattoos!)

Woe to the fucking wicked.

I would say "yes, if possible" (unless it's so widely known/dispersed that it's become common cultural currency).

Yep. No one really has to get permission to get a tattoo of Mickey Mouse, but definitely try to contact the artist.

She's pretty easy to contact. I'll shoot her an email.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

I do enjoy watching Hannibal but it always makes me a little happy to not have to ever question the provenance of my proteins. I mean, beans are clearly beans.
