Hmm. It's sounds like the finest party I can imagine getting paid to go to.

Spike's Bitches 48: I Say, We Go Out There, and Kick a Little Demon Ass.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Our wings are not tired.

How scary and exciting, GC. I have to say that my coast will be delighted to have you and your family.

Printers make me cry.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I hope the move goes well, GC!

My mom was thoroughly convinced the house where she grew up had a ghost in it. It lived in the basement, and her dog refused to go down there and would often bark at the basement doors.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

And what halcyon era was this?

Oh, back in the Pleistocene, when I had a computer that booted from a floppy disk and a dot matrix printer, and all I had to do to make them work was plug them in.

Even in the 1990s, I had a little HP printer that was perfect. When did technology get so complicated that nothing just fracking works anymore? It takes all afternoon and much cursing to set up anything new, at least for me.

Today's technology nightmare: trying to convince my external HD that I am, in fact, allowed to write to it. Usually just mounting it on a PC and ejecting it and then putting it back on my Mac works. But not today. And my normal backup EHD isn't working at all. *bangs head against wall*

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

To be fair to printerdom, I currently have a cheap b&w Samsung laser printer that works reliably now that I have figured out its somewhat persnickety paper needs. (It doesn't like good paper. It likes cheap paper.) My HP color printer is another story.

Herding cats for fun

You'll all be soooo jealous when I say I've got an antique Royal typewriter displayed in my Wall of Books with some other antique technology... like my Ramones Rocket to Russia album.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I have a label-maker, because I kind of have a compulsion to label everything. I was very disappointed when I realized that the labels don't stick to the kind of plastic that the label maker is made of, so I couldn't put a "Label Maker" label on it.

I've got my old Smith Corona from college still. I think I will display it when I'm in my new place.

I have a typewriter at the office for when other technology options fail. The little label printers are very handy.

I like the way the typewriter looks surrounded by books, it's all old-fashioned.
